I am just repeating: the fact that certain negative aspects of human behavior have been with us for thousands of years, it does not excuse ANYTHING. Not a thing.
This tendency to minimize, or go apathetic, is not native-grown, it is urged by others, and you may notice it emanates from the same place that has made teevee shows and movies for the past 75+ years. They just do it on the internet now, in addition to your evening sitcoms and your hagiographic movies.
I struggle to understand how fully grown adult men confront a problem, and decide their course of action is to shrug shoulders and say "always been that way, harumph."

Why do you think such fight against release. Self delusion is one of the hardest things to overcome and on national level - borderline impossible. Before anyone slags me -- I went to private K-6 and public 7-12, and learned the differences first hand. I learned exactly what I said above. At my private K-6 we were encouraged every day to think critically. At the public 7-12, never once.
