Their working on a wireless remote option. It will use encrypted UWB not Bluetooth.I’d love to know why it isn’t a 90° connection. Rubs on my fatass Tangent turret.

A 90° is fine too; I’m not hot on paying $3-500 for a new remote.Their working on a wireless remote option. It will use encrypted UWB not Bluetooth.
Biggest downside of the Impact (aside from not working when it's mildly chilly outside lol) is a wireless remote. My favorite thing is to spend whole nights wondering around in the dark constantly checking to see if I lost my switch (I haven't lost one yet, but the fear is always there).Their working on a wireless remote option. Agreed, I will always prefer a wired remote but it is nice that Maztech will give users the choice. Now if I can run a wired and wireless remote at the same time that would be awesome. I would put the wireless one on the buttstock to use with my support hand.Biggest downside of the Impact (aside from not working when it's mildly chilly outside lol) is a wireless remote. I'd be down for that. But I absolutely want wired over BT or any other wireless option first. Connector wise, with enough "want" you can have the connector at whatever position you want. Hell we have someone here who makes switches with different connectors.Agreed, I will always prefer a wired remote but it is nice that Maztech will give users the choice. That looks awesome! Is the riser needed for the clip-on? I saw MMM use a PVS-30 in his video without a riser and it worked fine.View attachment 8730089

Don’t forget to ordered the $200 diving board
And $100 thermal riser (not the one pictured )
And the $175 cable
You have a link to the correct riser?View attachment 8730089

It’s honestly massive. Neither the NF or Area419 diving board are long enough for the remote plug to clear the turret on a NF 7-35.Thanks @BurtG that mf’er is huge. I don’t have a mission for it so this kinda solidifies that I’m going to sit on the sideline for a bit. The mars profile is nicer but I don’t need 2 of them.
Same with A419 diving board and Theta.it works fine the NF diving board with a 7-35 with the beast turret, the cable bends so it will insert into the port just fine and not mess with anything structurally.
It mounts just fine. I can plug the cable in without an issue, but it sits right in the way of the elevation turret for me. The diving board needs to be longer or taller or something. Or, ideally, they would have a 90* plug. This is on an Area 419 mount/diving board.Same with A419 diving board and Theta.
Can you move the scope in the mount to help clear it better? It mounts just fine. I can plug the cable in without an issue, but it sits right in the way of the elevation turret for me. Clearance on the Theta turrets is worse with the tail of the plug making contact. It mounts just fine. Maybe a little bit, but not that much. Seems like only realistic way of doing it would be to get the rings instead of the one piece mount to try and get some more space. Even then, I'm not sure it will be enough space to fully clear the turret. Can you move the scope in the mount to help clear it better?
If they would just do a 90* connector it would solve a lot of these issues. But I REALLY don't want to have to buy a $200 cable for something that should have been out of the box in the first place.Clearance on the Theta turrets is worse with the tail of the plug making contact.
Yes, I made the same point on this very page.If they would just do a 90* connector it would solve a lot of these issues. But I REALLY don't want to have to buy a $200 cable for something that should have been out of the box in the first place.
Here is the 2k on the Sphur and Sphur diving board. But I had to use a riser to get it up and forward enough to clear the turrets well enough on an ATACR 7.35.Anyone got eyes on with a maztech and a sphur diving board? Bonus points if it's in front of a tangent
For the price they should most def include the diving board and both cables smfh

Only have 5 minutes here and there to f with it. Still need to torque it and down load the app etcBut how's it working....
Stomps itOutside of size (the obvious one), I am curious how this 15k compares to the MARS unit.
Anderson.....seriously? You of all people burt...View attachment 8738559
Need to proof it on steel but seems pretty BA
Not sure why both the LRF and FCs have gun profiles , maybe you can use a non ab RF to feed the fcs in the future

Genuine question here.... given the price difference, what would you expect the mars to do above and beyond the 15k?Outside of size (the obvious one), I am curious how this 15k compares to the MARS unit.
How so apart from cost to performance? I thought everyone was pretty happy with their MARS?Genuine question here.... given the price difference, what would you expect the mars to do above and beyond the 15k?
I agree with @Huskydriver..... the Maztech 15k dominates the $10k+ lasers in performance.

Gotcha, I think it's one of those pay twice the price for a 30% weight reduction scenario. I didn't love the weight or bulk of my Impact 4000, weight might have been fine if it hadn't been so big. Weight is easy to deal with for the price and 15k laser though I'm sure!Cost to performance is exactly what I'm referring to here.... To be fair, I don't claim to be a Mars expert as I've never felt like a $10k+ rangefinder made sense for me so not something I've spent time researching. My only experience with them is being around guys running them in matches.
So with that in mind, I'm genuinely curious what the additional cost of the mars and other similarly priced units actually benefit a shooter over the Maztech (IR illum could be one thing)?
