My last CRB wobbled all over when indicated by the bore. But it shot well. Not necessarily an indicator of how a barrel will shoot, but I do think people are ooh'ing and aahhh'ing a little too much. There's a ton of good shooting barrel brands out there these days. So what separates them. The incorrect answer is how well they're machined. The correct answer is how the unwashed masses feel about them. Because it's not about facts, it's about public perception.

This has mimicked my experience. Some of the first CRBs that I got my hands on......definitely had a good bit of bore runout. In truth, nothing worse than the occassional Bartlein, Kreiger, etc.

Then I did about 30-ish CRBs that had very impressively straight bores. I was making comments about "how they figured it out".

The last 5 or so, have had some bore runout.

Personally, the biggest thing for me is a 4-groove configuration. I get measureably better chambering results on my setup.

I don't think CRB is some new magic. So long as CRB has good leadtimes and competitive pricing.....they will sell every one they make.

Just don't do anything dumb like carbon wrapping or structured barrels.
