In the wrong pick up line. A very irritated looking lady rushed over to correct me. I said I did not know. In her most authoritarian voice she said, “I’m telling you the correct way now.” Stopped short of calling her Peppa Pig and said, “I heard you the first time.” She scurried away to confer with some other portly lady.
The DIL was concerned because they can cut you in the first semester for any reason.
Many moons ago in my hometown a Snap-on truck was involved in a pretty heavy wreck, tools slung all over. The scene looked like Los Angeles during looting. Upstanding citizens in the truck along with those scrounging what had gotten ejected from the vehicle. A sight to behold.

The truck on the bottom owned my soul (for what seemed like an eternity). So when I was still in the trades, I move to a new neighborhood and one of my new neighbors was a Snap On dealer. So I went over introduced myself and asked him to warrantee a Snap On ratchet. He f*cking blew up, "You didn't purchase that ratched from me...WTF!." me; "Dude it's a Snap On. guaranteed for...ever". So for what seemed like an hour I had to listen to his BS diatribe about how he isn't making any money. I looked around; at his house (bigger then mine), his race car, his personnal truck (newer then mine), etc, etc, and then his fat wife walked out...I said thank you and walked away.
