This is why it’s important to look at the NCVS crime numbers. It uncovers some of the dark figure of crime since it is from victim surveys instead of the UCR data.

About 2015 Chicago PD published its annual Monkey Madness crime report. 97% of all victims were not white. 97% of murderers were not white. 83% of killers had a previous felony conviction. 85% for victims. Most white neighborhoods has zero murders or assaults. Solve rate was about 15%.

Not just DC. All Blue states/Blue Cities under-report actual crime by something like 30% shortly after Biden took office. States/municipalities were told that reporting crime stats were optional, instead of mandatory. I do not have a link readily available, but quite true across the nation.
Victims also under report crimes. They are demoralized knowing nothing will happen to the perpetrators.

I worked alongside one of the lightest-skinned black Marines in DC. He was also one of the most militant. We actually got along (he made fun of every other race constantly), but sometimes we had to work graveyard shifts together. Then, we'd have long-dragged out debates about most of the topics we see here in the 'Pit. I'm not one to let an MSNBC talking point to go unchallenged.
At one point, our debate got into crime statistics and prison populations. I started to research (we always started internet searching during a graveyard shift debate) prison populations. The stupid bureau of prisons and other gub'ment sites lumped hispanics in with whites in regard to prisoner numbers. I had to go to a separate site to determine the number of hispanics currently incarcerated.
The numbers didn't lie. When I did my little search and stats drop (per capita), blacks were seven times more likely to be currently incarcerated than whites.
All that being said; Where I currently live, the overwhelming majority of criminals are white trash, Indians (feather not dot), or a combination of those two. I dislike white trash as much as anything else.

Black males make up about 6% of the population yet are responsible for about 51% of the murders. Same for most violent and drug crime.

Yeah...well...almost. As far as I am concerned, and I don't live very from @diggler1833, the white trash is far, far worse than any other sorta trash. The other trash has some (very little) reason to blame their situation. Ol' whitey ain't got nothing but laziness and low morals to blame.
The thing about crime statistics is the more crimes occur the less likely someone is to even report a crime because they know it’s just a waste of time because nothing will be done, and in the end the will they just be standing around for hours waiting for the police to show up, when they do they will file a report and it will never be heard about again. Combine that with a system of a revolving door at the jail for the offenders they do catch and you have a perfect storm. If it wasn’t for all the dead bodies and gunshot and knife wounds they can’t ignore Chicago would statistically be very safe, just because most crimes aren’t even reported.
