My buddy Don is devastated, the man absolutely loves him some CB.
I was reading last night that it is estimated only 15% refused the vax.
My nephew (who is still in the CG) was threatened with every conceivable thing you can imagine from his (female) highest base command. He covered shifts for people who were vaxed and sick with Covid sometimes working 24 hours.
He never got it.
He was held at his rank and pay even though his stellar service was due those promotions. He was told many times that he would get those promotions and more if he would just take the shot because “I want this base to be 100%”.
He was confined to his house when not at work even though his unit at one time was 80% positive and he was covering shifts. His family couldn’t shop or go off base for anything and had to pay for groceries to be delivered.
Still each time he was brought in and ganged up on and threatened he just smiled, stated his position and refused. He told them he wasn’t doing it, he wasn’t resigning and they could do what they had to. They offered him absurd things, dream things. He refused.
After all of that….he was given back all of the pay, the rank and choice of station. He got an apology letter. He still serves.
Never forget they wanted people cancelled, fired, ruined and even held down and forced. This wasn’t about sickness.
Never forget it.
