Check out the March Scopes. FX and F series are FFP's. Compact are SFP. 1.5-15 x 42 is on my list. They have models that meet all your criteria and high end HD glass.

I think the Maven RS1.2 is a good value scope -- 2.5-15 and the Mil reticle in FFP is quite usable, even at low power -- The MOA is as well, but not quite as much as the MIL

I like the Athlon Helos 2-12, but that center dot is just too darn big

I love the Kahles k16i for a sfp 1-6, so a kahles 1-8 would probably work well for you. If you don't mind a dual focal plane, then the March 1-10 is awesome, too.

Helos 2-12

This I go everywhere do everything rifle. Spends more time out of the locker than in it. It’s been ridden hard and put up wet. Still keeps going and still holds zero. I e only checked zero 2x with this rifle and it was perfect so checked it again yesterday after putting a 20 MOA base on it because I had Burris 2pc XTR bases before.

After dialing in 5.5mil for the base I shot 3 to get a ball park. Those are the 1 low shot and the 2 high ones. I walked away and loaded 3 more 77gr in the mag and and shot the 3 that’s a cluster. I was shooting my chair with garden sticks.

Don’t worry about the dot being too big on the 2-12. Just use the top of the dot as a fine aiming point. Dot is .3 mil so 1.08”. I used to think it was too big also but adjusted to it and it’s been fine. It’s an awesome scope for killing things. Mine has nuclear bright illumination.

How accurate is the rifle and are you wanting sub MOA performance? It’s never mentioned here, but I personally need at least 10x to shoot sub MOA. I recently purchased two Nightforce NX8 2.5-20x and a Steiner T6XI 2.5-15x. I obviously like the NX8, but the Steiner REALLY impresses every time you get behind it. I also got it for $1179 I think? So close to $300 less than the NX8. While the NX8 has more magnification, the Steiner is just so easy to get behind and shoot. I’m sure the 34mm diameter of the Steiner versus the 30mm diameter of the NX8 plays a significant role. I haven’t been able to take any of the rifles out to compare how they affect my ability at distances greater than 100 yards.

Dont know what your timeline is but we have a pretty good shot at Leupold having some SFP Mk5HD 2-10x by first quarter. Super nice scope for certain applications.

I'm building a lighter weight, packable, truck gun rig.

Now that I just read what I typed, I'm thinking another 2-12 Helos or VX5HD HTMR.
I'm still open to a nice LPVO tho. I like the dual plane March...
