Holy shit......thats funny!! That paper.....The Trinity Journal, affectionately known as the Trinity Urinal is our once a week newspaper. Mr. Nixon is your stereotypical letter to the editor writer......always complaining about something. I missed that gem
....thanks for the laugh!! The green rush.....like the gold rush is pretty much over.
The deer aren't high......just dumb....lol

The answer is found in your question.

So they shovel their dues over to the Teamsters… which 100 percent spends the money on leftist democrats… despite the fact that Teamsters are something like 80 percent for Trump.

And you get all the illiterate ones to vote for corrrupt union officials…

Ok.. all makes sense now!

Sirhr

PS. This is me. SH seems to have turned my name yellow. And says I’m logging in from a weird IP. Maybe it’s the NSA again? Or the Israelis! Was fine last night…. Whatever. @alexj-12 might have the answer!!! She is always awesome!

Deregulation of the trucking industry began with the Motor Carrier Act of 1980. It was the beginning of the fall of the union in trucking.

Interesting that would have been passed by Carter and a heavily-Democrats Senate and Tip O’Neill’s House. How the heck did that happen? Or was it in response to the whole Hoffa era abuses??

Off to Wiki on that one!!!

Sirhr

Kind of interesting. Carter was trying to stave off inflation… so signed it. Ted Kennedy was part of organizing it… probably thought it was a way to hit back at the mob that killed at least one of his brothers. And here I figured it was because of that episode where the Union bosses beat up BJ and the Bear and trashed his dirtbike and all us kids wrote in complaining to Walter Mondale. (I know… a bit of an overreach at this hour… went for the bra-strap too soon… but trying to make sure you guys know it’s me, not some ranting impersonator sitting in a mud hut in Lagos and scheming to scam you in the UGPX.

Bagging on veteran wounded in combat. Not funny.

Who thinks he's better than you, deserves special privileges over you, and has sold out for personal gain.

It is possible to undo the good that you once did for your country. John McCain, John Kerry and many others have taken the same route before.

This isn't an attack aimed at you man. I'm just a dude who spent a few years deployed calling out the hypocrisy of others.

In 1980, a retiring CHP officer asked his captain what he should do with his gear at the end of his last shift.

Captain said: “Just leave it on the Sergeant's desk.”

The next morning the Sgt. came in and found this:

Priceless!!!

Good shoot or not?

If he can enunciate that he was in reasonable fear of death or grevious bodily harm after being physically assaulted by a pair of men who were capable of overpowering him and inflicting serious injury or death on him…. Yeah, good shoot.

He shot until the perp was down.

I’d call it a good shoot.

Then again, I run with the mantra… Never bring a fist to a gunfight.

And the dude punches like a girl.

I agree. I also think he will go to prison.

I will give you that. Very specifically.

However, Dan Crenshaw is a RINO cunt that is already balls deep in the chocolate fruitloop of government entitlements and inside trading. He (ironically ?) does not put the future of this Republic nor his constituents first.

He is making sure that he is rewarded handsomely for whatever sacrifice he made for my country.

I appreciate his service and his sacrifice but fuck him.

100% this.

Honorable service to the nation does not give you a free pass to be an utter cunt once you retire from service.

He was in the neighbors yard confronting them.
He had already pulled out his gun in anticipation of shooting the homeowner.

Why was he there? He didn't have to be.

I assumed that was his house and the ones who assaulted him were the neighbors?

Doesn't matter where or how or what... if he can convince a jury that he was reasonably in fear of his life or severe bodily injury, then it is a good shoot. BUT... convincing the jury? If he was a 60 year old guy and those were two teenagers? Easy call. But he looks fit and young enough to not be infirmed or 'reasonably' in fear of death or severe bodily harm.

But once the aggressor threw the first punch... both he and his buddy were guilty of assault. And two against one can give him a defense on the base of 'would a reasonable person fear for their life or severe bodily injury. That's the standard. That said, he was also on camera and backed up away from the punches before advancing and firing when the dead idiot was out of punching range. Slowed down and played to a jury... does he still reasonably fear for his life or bodily injury as he would if, say, he was knocked to the ground and they were advancing on him? I think that's where he fails in his defense.

Also, if it's not his house/carport/driveway... then things get even sportier for his defense! Once we have all the facts, it will probably become a lot more clear cut one way or another!

And, yeah, good shoot or not. I still think he'es going to jail.

Lots of commies progressives served in the military and serve in political office.
Dan's a RINO.. he's trying to clean up his image. Must be an election coming up

  • While America-First MAGA conservatives pushed to secure the border, Crenshaw flexed his moderate muscles, voting with Democrats on spending bills that’d make a fiscal hawk cry.
  • labeling election fraud skeptics “idiots” on his podcast
  • Crenshaw was caught on a hot mic saying that he would kill former Fox News Host Tucker Carlson if he ever met him in person.
  • When Trump supporters stormed his inbox with complaints, Crenshaw didn’t blink — well, he can’t much anyway. “These people are the worst people on earth,” he said during a recorded hot mic incident during CPAC

2017 -------

Per RINO Dan C -
"The solutions aren’t obvious, even if we pretend they are. But we must try. Let’s start with the TAPS Act. Maybe also implement state “red flag” laws, or gun violence restraining orders. Stop them before they can hurt someone.
now.... since Trump got elected"

Crenshaw Introduces Bill Preventing Unjust Red Flag Laws

January 7, 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Dan Crenshaw (TX-02) has introduced H.R. 223, the Preventing Unjust Red Flag Laws Act, a bill aimed at prohibiting federal funding for the implementation and enforcement of federal red flag laws. The bill also bars the federal government from providing financial assistance to state, local, tribal, or territorial governments for the enforcement of such laws.

Don't let others write a check you need to cash.

Not a good shoot where I live

Wander off
De escalate
Unass the area

To risk your entire life in a cell for a BS dispute.... to risk your family being homeless after losing everything in civil court while being in prison....

Ordered a new pair of Keens last night. They’re having their Labor Day sales.

The Cincinnati is a fantastic boot if you like a wide toe box and moc toe with Goodyear welt construction. Get the waterproof with Keen Dry lining.
