It would have been really nice had, when they "invented 401k" they'd have said, you can put all your money in the 401k that would normally go to Soc Sec - with some caveats needed most likely. Even if 50% of SS was forced, I'd have been okay with that. They would have had to have trickled down how much privatization (that said, Gov never trickles down anything...but pain in the form of more taxes.).

Once a country is spending more on servicing the debt than defense, your country is officially on the way out. One of the few things we do spend money on The Founders approved.
