Since you are the one who gets to decide who is an actual Jew it isn't, and my criticism stands. No question Jews are overrepresented in popular culture, business, media, etc. They're not a monolith, just like you aren't a monolith of your religion. Given recent events and the reaction of some on the "Christian Right" to those events I can't reconcile some of what is posted here. You won't find my breaking friendships over doctrinaire differences, or saying certain people aren't really Christians, but are rather part of a Satanic cult, because I don't believe what they believe. Nor will you find me reposting that sort of hatred anywhere, even if I might actually agree with the people I normally don't agree with. There are sinners and bad people everywhere. I judge them by their deeds and actual beliefs, not randomly or as groups of people. I don't even judge them by what they would say directly to me if questioned, because some of them are actually ignorant of what their holy books say, just as some "Christians" are ignorant of the Bible.
Leviticus offers some pretty harsh punishments for what are considered minimal crimes (or even not crimes) today. This is what the Books of Moses proscribe, but I don't see the Jews carrying them out either here or in Israel. Why? You have brought up Talmud quite a bit, but "The Talmud is the central text of Rabbinic Judaism and the primary source of Jewish religious law and Jewish theology. It consists of the Oral Torah and its commentaries. It records the teachings, opinions and disagreements of thousands of rabbis on a variety of subjects, including halakha, Jewish ethics, philosophy, customs, history, and folklore, and many other topics." It's not cannon, and it contains arguments and opinions that most Jews don't believe and aren't even aware of... Honestly, the "True Jews" at least according to the Hasidim themselves, are the only ones who read and follow it. For everyone else it's sort of a waste of time. There is a lot of junk in it, and most Rabbis would agree that many of the arguments in it are not mainstream and bad arguments on their face. Again, it's not cannon. It's not a holy text, but the musings of Rabbis.
I know what Jews, Muslims, Catholics, and Latter Day Saints are supposed to believe, because I've read and studied their respective texts. Actual Jews, Muslims, Catholics, and LDS are the ones who believe and try to live by what their texts say, so it matters, but I'm still not going to spread propaganda about the people and try to categorize everyone into neat little boxes. In terms of believing that Jews are evil and the state of Israel must be destroyed you are most certainly on the side of the Islamists and Antifa.
Whenever I find myself on their side or considering their rationale, I reanalyze what I believe, because I went very wrong somewhere.
Out of all the people who constantly post this stuff, it only hurts me when you do it. The rest I can ignore, but coming from you it is physically painful for me, because I know what a good guy you are. Please stop, if only for me.
