Had the first sweet taters she pulled a month ago for super last night. Pretty good, but a bit early. The ones in the bucket should be sweeter and better texture.

Sure hope so. If I hit a dog in the street, the owner should be responsible for any damages, emotional distress, lost wages…
Good luck with that. In Louisiana owners of livestock of which dogs and cats are also included are responsible for any damage that occurs due to their actions/inactions.

However, the general public seems to think that any time any way, any cause, if you hit their precious darlins, you are totally responsible, including carrying dear little precious to the vet, and paying all costs for same. Never mind that the damned doberman ran out in the road in front of you to chase another vehicle and does a number on the front of your vehicle. (true story) I did stop and check on the dog who was Very Dead. Tried to talk with the owner but naturally, no one was at home. The damned dog was running free next to a rural highway. (Louisiana also has a leash law, if the dog is off your property it MUST be under leash.).

So, the owner showed up sometime later in the day, and had the audacity to call me up, blame me for "precious" death and demanded to know why I did not take the dog to the vet. If I would have had my wits I would have reminded that asshole (and neglectful owner.) that the dog was not the Messiah and would not now or evermore rise from the dead.

Did I mention just who paid for the damages to our Chevy.
