Birmingham just happens to be within my 6 hr driving radius from NC. Do you still have spots left?
Knight- I met you last weekend at Snipergolf in Maxton. That was an impressive display of some shooting man! I scored a 30 so I NEED help
Also, what is the COF?. I have a cousin that has an AR (.223) but is looking to learn more about LR precision. Would that equipment be ok? If not, I can let him borrow one of my bolt guns.

I forgot to ask him what twist he's running to figure out his best long range precision load. I'll have my 6XC or my .308 bolt guns, I don't really know much about the AR .223 side of the things.
Anyway, you should see two more registrations show up in the next few days.

The B'ham course sounds great, but there's no way I can do it this time, my son's HS graduation is May 19.
Any plans to do more 2 man team precision rifle matches this year or anytime soon? Thanks.

yep, unless something changes, our plan is to do a team match in the Spring and another in the Fall and we'll see how the individual PRS in August goes, but I imagine that will continue.

My cousin still hasn't sent in his registration but I helped him change out his upper receiver this weekend so he can put a long range optic on his gun. Hopefully he will get that reg over to you guys soon.

I am loading up some rounds for the class and trying to decide on what weights bullets to use, 168 or 175 SMKs. Can you tell me what distance most of the shooting will be done? If we're going to shoot out past 600+ yrds regularly, I'll load up the 175's. Thanks!

You will be fine with either. Most will be done within 500 yards. If it were me I would save your 175s and run the 168s.

To tell you the truth I have done well with smk155 palma's at longer ranges than 600. Although once I run through this 500box I will be changing to 168's. I think my barrel likes them a bit better.

They all shoot well out of my rifle but I'll load up the 168's since most of the shooting is within 500 yrds.

I have also spent a good amount of time working up this load on seating depth and charge. So Im not going to change it before the class. I do need to decide on what to bump upto next

We plan on having people out of there by mid afternoon.
For the second part of Sunday we will be doing multiple exercises, which are all similar. If people have to leave earlier then others its not a big deal.

What a blast! My brain has been hammered with great knowledge and I have also learned of better ways to practice/drill myself to shoot better and faster. We went over all kinds of ways to better support yourself and the rifle in numerous different positions. Faster follow up shots, being able to call your shots and all around just excelling in what we all enjoy as shooters. Many thanks to Ryan, Scott, and Tom. Those guys are awesome and a great help. I recommend their training class to anyone that is looking to better their skills.
