I figured I'd shoot some groups at 100 to figure out what the rifle liked before taking it to the long range.

I shot at 131gr of retumbo.. then 132 and 133... the 134 and every group I shot including the cold bore one all went through the same hole. I have a lot of work to do but, I was expecting to see the rifle open up at some point but, 1/2" group was the worst thing I've seen so far... shooting 5 shot groups.... not ONE flyer..... not one.

So, I have to do this again at 1000yds... I expected to see severe things at 100yds and apparently, I'm an idiot.... I stopped but I had hotter loads... seems like they're all going to be sub half minute. ( new barrels rock )

I have to say that RWS does build a nice rifle. Mine is a Tac 408 Stiller action, brux 30" 1:10 twist bbl, jewel trigger, PDC chassis, RWS brake with 34 moa base and a NF NSX 5.5-22x on it for now.

I'm very pleased with this rifle right now.

Ranger, you can get the brass from HSM here in Stevensville. its about 190.00 for 100 pcs. Its hard to find right now, but bertrum is ramped up and importing as much as they can..Steve

Re: 375CT first real time out

Yeah, what Steve said with the brass, they didn't have 375 brass so I just got 408 brass and necked it down myself.

I was shooting the lehigh 330gr boreriders... they seem fine but we'll have to see what they do when you shoot them at distance... seems like somebody was saying that the start to fall apart at about a mile but they were shooting a slower twist than I am.... the proof is in the results... The interesting thing is that even at .010 off the lands with these bullets they will mag feed ( as if you need to mag feed this pig haha ) They're 4.443 OAL.

Next, I have to load some of the 350gr predators... after seeing some of the bullet test results, I have a REALLY good feeling about how they'll perform.

So now, this rifle will probably never be shot at less than 1000yds.... probably a good thing... there was a guy next to me trying to shoot an AR and, he set a water bottle on the bench... when I fired a round, the concussion and blowback knocked his water bottle off the bench on one side... blew the targets off the bench on the other side... LOL What a beast!

Another thing that I am VERY pleased about is that this rifle doesn't seem to have a POI shift for cold bore... my 300wm does but this rifle does not..... just AWESOME!!!!!

After doing the scope shuffle and changing scopes all around... I re-zeroed my 300wm too... I'm sad to say but, my old barrel is shot out... time to put the krieger on it that's been waiting for it... it's barely holding moa now... guess I shouldn't be suprised... I shot probably 1800 rounds last year with it.
