im looking at the different chassis they have for the remmy s/a. i like "the look" of the tac21, and xlr. im not to fond for the aics chassis nothing against the company they make top of the line product. im wondering the pros and cons of the tac21 and xlr poeple have had and would reccomend. i have looked and handled a few but not shot one yet.

Re: remington 700 s/a chassis

Just shot my cousins KRG Whiskey 3 chassis. Fu*^in% sweet. Nicest chassis I have felt or shot. Like night and day from my medalist light tactical. Good luck and happy hunting for your chassis.

Love my mcree....the versatility is unbelievable. Very well made and robust.

Scott and Kate are dang fine folk as well

love my whiskey 3 folder

Re: remington 700 s/a chassis

+1 on the Mcrees Precision chassis. I wouldn't give mine up for anything. I had an XLR chassis also but had to sell. Of the two I prefer the Mcrees.

Re: remington 700 s/a chassis

what is the price difference between the Mcree and the XLR? I am leaning toward the XLR for now.

Re: remington 700 s/a chassis

The XLR package I ordered included the Evolution chassis, tactical butt stock and 1 5rd magazine and It was right around 850. (Kyle also cut down my scope base free of charge) Most bases will need a bit cut off the front due to the way the forend attatches

The Mcree was the Tmag Gen5 Chassis, folding butt stock, 1 5rd mag and rigid hand hold at 735.

So lets call it a $100.00 difference in favor of the Mcrees.

Definitely get behind a few if you can as they all have a slightly different feel. For me the Whiskey 3 felt very comfortable. The JP was okay. Not a fan of the standard AICS. I haven't liked any chassis that uses an AR style grip. YMMV.
