I have some Badger rings that I am not going to be using but want to hold on to them. As such I was wondering what is the best way to store them? Do I need to grease them up, put em in a bag, or can I just stick them in the box they came in and forget about em?

Re: Best Way to Store Rings

They need to be gently coated with zebra tears, liberally coated with the semen of a gomer bull, and stored under four layers of wax paper with the hex nuts facing toward the holy city of Jerusalem.

No, really, they are just like any other hunk of steel. If in a dry environment, put 'em in the box and don't worry. If you're in a humid area, a little oil wouldn't hurt anything.

Re: Best Way to Store Rings

Just coat with your favorite oil and put back in the box.

Good to know. I liked the Zebra tears idea though, would have made it a bit more exotic!

Re: Best Way to Store Rings

Oil 'em, and put them in a ziplock bag so the oil doesn't get all over everything else (oil is able to jump great distances - I have seen it get on one of my dress shirts from half-way across my workshop).
