Sig Sauer 1911 Ultra
Been waiting on the phantom Springfield XDs and then saw one of these in the Hide's firearms for sale section. I bought two of Sig's P238s a few months back and have been impressed with the quality and reliability of them.

Has anyone around here had the chance to shoot one of these and/or carry it? I am curious if it eats anything you feed it like my P238. I have a Kimber CDP and it has been rock solid, but after seeing some comments around here and other forums about slippinbg QC at Kimber, I am looking elsewhere.

Re: Sig 1911 Ultra

They say Kimbers are hit or miss. But if yours is good hold onto it. I also have a Kimber CDP pro and love mine. A lot of people don't recommend 1911 shorter than the Commander size. Seems harder to get good reliablity out of the 3inch barrels.

Re: Sig 1911 Ultra

I don't have the Ultra, but I do have a Tacops with threaded barrel. For the ~$1000 market, I think it is a real good deal. It shoots everything I feed it, and the slide feels like it is on ball bearings. I don't know if the mags they come with are any good or not, I have not even loaded a round into any of them. I have a bunch of Wilson 47Ds and that is all I use with 1911s.
