So I put a Timney in a 700 preset to 1.5lb (which was way too light and my finger would slide/hop off the trigger and make follow through impossible without slapping the trigger) about a month ago, shot it a couple of times like this including the weekend before this past one, and then on Saturday I took it out to do some dry fire before hitting the range and the trigger felt significantly heavier. Live fire reinforced this, as the slipping went away, and my zero groups showed trigger control issues (shots jumping up and to each side about 1" away). Not really sure what happened, maybe the screws walked out, maybe there's some frictional contact, needs a cleaning, etc. Any ideas? One a sidenote the safety did seem a bit stiff both in the stock and out of it before I ever placed it in to the stock.
