Best ammo GAP M40A5?

Alright, I'm turning to the SH brain trust. Recently acquired an M40A5 built by GAP from the hide in a smooth transaction. I'm wondering what the best factory ammo to run in it is. I don't reload and won't be for some time. It's a 1-12 twist. I'm running outta my supply of 308 win 175 FGMM and haven't seen any stocked for a while. Would the 175 gr 7.62x51 shoot well? I'll only be using the brass once. Range wise, I'll be shooting from 100-1000 yards. Any advice would be appreciative. Thanks.

As it seems you aren't budget minded or at least uninterested in reloading.
I would buy Lapua 155 Scenar or 170 lock base loaded ammo by the case and sell the once fired brass to me for $.35 a piece.

I'll buy from SW, I've heard nothing but good things. Would you guys recommend the 175 or 155 scenars?

+1 for southwest. just got done testing their 175 loads and the 155 lapua. the SMK shot lights out. the Lapua didnt do as well. i say what the post right above me says: 175 load in winchester brass. you cant possibly go wrong with that load. price, accuracy, quality are just too good to pass up in my humble opinion.

The FGMM 308 and 7.62 are ballisticaly identical. 7.62 leaves the annealing unpolished and crimps the primers. The Federal ammo is also hotter than the SWAmmo (175s in Win brass.) I have chrono data if you pm me.
