I had the luxury of shooting teammates 17x and 25x T-Pal’s over the last few months and that allowed me to find out what features I loved and what would be a better fit to my exact needs. When it came time to order my USO I decided on the 3.8-22x ERGO. I wanted more power than the 17x offered with the simplicity and durability of the ERGO design. The physical dimensions I kept smaller and streamlined with the 30mm main tube and 44mm objective thus allowing me to run low rings and still have clearance between the barrel.

Thank you! We really appreciate it. Our team mate Aron did a great job.

We like it a lot!

During SHOT show I was talking to Arnold and told him how Dane and I went out on a uncommonly dark knight. The moon wasn't out, either were the stars. We had to get a couple rifles zeroed and had paper set up at 100 yards. Dane made a slick light box what we had pointed at the targets.

With two SN-3's side by side, Red vs. Blue, the blue was much better. I feel it contrasted in shadows better and you could turn it up higher before it would develop a "halo" in the middle of your sight picture. Dane and I figure the "halo" is from light reflecting against the inside of the scope.

I first saw the new version of the blue illumination during the 2011 So Cal PRC match. One of the Scout Snipers competing had his scope equipped with it. We all had the chance to check it out in between stages!

Thanks for the feedback on this, I haven't had a chance to test it myself yet.

its definetly an awesome scope. ive had mine for at least 4 years and its still as clear and still funtions the same as the day i bought it. the only complaint i get is when people bitch when im still shooting at dusk when other scopes cant see there target anymore mine is still bright enough to see. not my problem my rifle is topped with better glass

I will be ordering an sn-3 t-pal version soon. USO scopes are just such a work of art. Good info about the blue reticle, I have been up in the air on which color to choose.

I wanted to shed more light on features of the ERGO that are appealing to shooters like myself. Dane already mentioned in his review that the ERGO has less moving parts and less glass, giving it a durability and clarity edge. Going from scope to scope I honestly cannot tell a difference but the logic behind it makes sense to me.

One thing I found surprising is that the same reticle (CMG MOA) is actually finer in the 3.8-22x than it is in the 3.2-17x. I don’t feel it’s thick in the 3.2-17x but I do appreciate the extra magnification and finer aiming point with the 3.8-22x ERGO. During precision tactical matches paper stages are common. Having the ability to see bullet holes at 200 yards, 300 yards or even farther is an advantage. It will allow you to make adjustments mid stage and hopefully salvage some points which otherwise would be lost. Recording the information and correcting your DOPE will be useful as the match continues.
