This was a great match. Many thanks to the match staff,,the Wheelers, the sponsors, and all the shooters that made this competitive.

I had a great time, and I'm looking forward to next year.

Congrats to Lonnie. He crushed it, somehow...

Thanks to the competitors for helping to make the match run so smoothly, efficiently, and without any drama. Thanks to the Wheelers for the use of their ranch. Michael and Ray, for help setting it up and running it. Mendocino for the prize table.

I'll get the results posted and photos up hopefully later tonight.

I had a great time. Worn out. Sore. Tired. Bruised. Lots of ant bites.

The match staff did an outstanding job setting things up and keeping everything new. Both the north and south courses were much harder this year. Despite being hard, they were still fun. I am glad the weather was nice and the temps never got to 110 like the weather dinks forecast.

The prize table was pretty friggin impressive thats for sure.

Many thanks to everyone that made this match happen. See you next year.

Congratulations to Lonnie for some incredible shooting over 3 days.

Phenomenal shoot.. Thanks to everyone that helped put it on and thanks to all the great sponsors,,, prize table made you drool.. Great bunch of guys and gals shooting and running the match,,, and it was obvious the 1st day that there were a lot of great shooters in attendence...
My first time shooting this match,, the learning curve was impressive but doable,, course was obviously set up by shooters for shooters,, well ran, well executed,,, can't say enough and can't wait for next year.....

Congrats Lonnie, so glad a square range shooting Texas guy got the Trophy.
Also nice to have you on Texas Precision Rifle Club as we take on the Okie Club next weekend in the Red River Shootout.

As a first time participant, it was an awesome event! Targets were tough but very fair.

Zak/Ray... Very organized and well run.

Thanks to the Wheelers for being awesome hosts!!!

Can't wait for next year!

The match was definitely harder this year! Which made Lonnie's shooting that much more impressive!

I want to extend a big thank you to Zak, Ray, and Michael for putting on and running a great match. Sorry Jeff Mendocino was called away and could not see the fruits of his labor, a fantastic job on gaining sponsorships. Those sponsors and companies really came thru. Also a big thank you note for the Wheelers for their support, friendship, and letting us walk all over their ranch.

The Steel Safari is a fantastic event and venue. It is absolutely at the top of my favorites list. If you've never been, you need to take a look at the pictures. It is both physically and mentally challenging but the rewards of completing it make it worth every bit. It was great seeing and visiting all the guys and gals again, a great group of shooters and competitors. I can't wait to do it again next year.

Competition Dynamics did a great job as usual with the Steel Safari. I just wanted to to say thanks to the match staff for putting on a extremely challenging and fun match.

Also to the competitors, I don't think you could find a better bunch of people to hang out with and spend the weekend shooting with.

Thank you Zac and Ray for organizing and running this match!! An amazing time was had by all and the physical and mental challenges faced only made the sense of accomplishment that much greater. A big thanks to Jeff, Ann, and the kids for putting together a rockin prize table!! Oh the times quiting would have been easier with this cast on but Tom and Paul and everyone there kept me going and just finishing felt great. For sure a repeat match, hopefully without the cast on...

Here is some preliminary info for the 2013 Steel Safari

* Dates will be June 7, 8, 9

* The Long-Range Side Match will be replaced by a third day of field-course shooting

* The total number of field stages will be increased from 20 to 24 and you'll shoot 1 field course consisting of 8 stages each day

* There will be many more match slots available compared to prior years, so everyone who wants to shoot should be able to get in

I'll post a 2013 thread soon with all the info but I wanted to get this out there.

Awesome,, maybe that will help with the stage or 2 that I will seriously F up... Makes me want to run my match rifle on coyotes all winter to stay in tune..
