So i'm shipping my sps tactical to get a new bolt knob and barrel threaded tomorrow....while it's gone, I've gotta make a choice on what to do for a stock.

Right now i have a Hart LRT with the aluminum accublock....it seems to work fine, i've shot some good groups with it during load development...and I like the overall shape of the stock. The only thing i don't like is that it's heavy...and the finish is very slick. I can't fix the weight...but I was thinking about doing texture on it and then painting it OD with black web....it'll be much more low key than the orange laminate it is now...so that'd be that.

I also considered selling it...and buying the stock I originally wanted, the HS PST035....if I can find one..
I think it'd be lighter...and i love the overall shape of it. their bedding block isn't nearly as nice as the bobby hart piece...but it'd be an easy thing to just skim bed it and be done.

so should I just keep what I have...paint it....and be happy? or does anyone think i should go for the HS?

oh, this gun is used for 500yds and closer...and will be shooting .223 full loads, suppressed.... groundhogs and steel....with the occasional unfortunate piece of paper. Shooting from a bench or prone with a harris and a protector rear bag

Life is too short! Buy what you want and you can sell the other stock to someone else!
Those HS Precision stocks are great! A friend has one on his Savage that was so comfortable I bought one for my Remington. Stockystocks.com had one when I was looking, I didn't have to wait at all. Good luck!
