Rifle Scopes Pick a new scope for me

Hey guys, I got a new rifle the other day (6.5-06 on a Rem 700, McM stock, 26" Krieger tube) and I need some glass for it. Here is what I am looking for:

Relatively light, nothing over 20 oz.
Adjustable parallax.
Nothing over 3.5x on the low end.
Lifetime warranty.

I was thinking Leica's ER series of scopes, like this 3.5-14x42

Or a Leupold 3.5-10x40 MK 4 3.5-10x40 MK 4

Or a Swarovski 3.5-18x44

Is there a scope I am overlooking? I'd be more than happy with a 3.5-10x40 VX-3 Leupold if they had adjustable parallax.

Thanks for the help!

Erik

Re: Pick a new scope for me

I feel like the minority on here but I am a die hard Leupold fan. They make a great product and their customer service is the best I have dealt with.

Re: Pick a new scope for me

How about the new bushnell 3.5x21? Horus reticle short n compact. Not sure on weight tho. What's your budget like?

Re: Pick a new scope for me

someone is selling a used MK4 3.5-10 in the optics section if thats definitely the one you are looking for

30 ounces, way too heavy.

Like I said, if they made a VX-3 3.5-10x40 with adjustable parallax, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

I saw that, not a bad price. Thanks!

Re: Pick a new scope for me

I might not know too much about optics but, I have a Bushnell HDMR with g2 reticle and it has never let me down. Just wish it was illuminated.

Re: Pick a new scope for me

My next rifle will be a 6.5-06 with a USO 1.8-10x or 3.2-17x

Re: Pick a new scope for me

I hear Leupold VX-6's are innovative.
I too am a Leupold guy.

I have the Leupold VX-6, 2-12 x42mm illuminated dot on order, and should get it by the 5th of July.
LEUPOLD VX-6
A bonus is that you can have a BDC dial free of charge for your flat shooting cartridge. Why not just use the .270?
I also am a fan of LEICA glass, I'm just not a fan of their riflescopes. I have their Ultravid's (<span style="font-style: italic">Freakin' amazing</span>!) and their CRF-1600.

I'll come back to this and give a quick impression the the VX-6. It's going on my Mountain Rifle.
You didn't mention what you will be using the rifle for.

Re: Pick a new scope for me

Nikon has a 2.5-10x44 tactical scope out. Has a life time warranty. Illuminated Mildot recital. Everything I've read on it is awesome.

Re: Pick a new scope for me

How about a 2.5-10x32 NF ?

It's 19 ounces, you can get matching MIL or MOA reticle/turret combinations, Zero Stop, and it's got an illuminated reticle.
It doesn't have an adjustable parallax, but I sure don't miss it on mine.
