Well, I should have done some homework on them but now my ass is bruised from all the pounding it took from buds.

Im thinking they dont even have the items they are selling in stock at the time the order was placed. I have waited so long in processing they could have ordered it from the mfg.

Never again will I buy from them and I urge others to not fall in their scheme.

Paid over a week ago. Cancellation is 10% fee. What a scheme. How long does it take to box the pistol up and ship it. Certainly not 7 days!!!! Told me 10k sales a day. BS!!

bud's does not actually have "in stock" most of what they sell. they have "drop ship" arrangements with at least one warehouse. you order, they order, others then ship.

If you want to buy from a place with inventory on hand, call ahead or buy local. Hardly any internet stores actually stock much. You're talking an investment of millions of dollars in merchandise that might sit on a shelf for years.

Before I paid them, I called to see if this was the case and they said: "Sir we dont sell what we dont have in stock."

I have heard that they do this from other people as well. With their 7 day process period, they could certainly order it.

This is one of the reasons that I use a telephone if I absolutely gotta have it or else. If they only offer an automated order process, I don't trust them. It's like going into a restaurant to eat lunch, ordering the chicken, and then having someone run across the street to fetch one from the butcher shop. I don't have the time or the inclination to wait unless <span style="font-style: italic">I'm</span> willing to do so.

I have never had a problem with them on several orders. Sorry this happened, that sucks.

I have ordered from them several times, the last few orderes have taken over a week for them to process the order and then it is a few days to receive the item. I believe that they are sitting on the money earning interest, similar to what your bank does.

They have a computer program that constantly monitors several distributors inventory. They advertise what those distributors list they have in stock. They do in fact stock some items (where I work sells them some but we do not dropship for them). Many of the distributors dropship for them.

Usually with Bud's if there is a big delay it is because there was an error with the inventory at whatever distributor they are trying to get it from.

I'm sorry you had a problem with your order. This is part of the reason I'm a big fan of buying local.

Oh really? How do you know that?

Their new location is MASSIVE. Its called The Gun Warehouse for a reason. They literally have hundreds of Glocks stacked up, and bulk anything and everything. They location is about 5 miles from me. While I do not like their methods of sales nor is their staff worth a damn, they do stock quite a bit of stuff. Yes some of it is drop shipped but you would need 3 or 4 of his buildings to house all they advertise.

Got this info from others and it makes sense to me.
Now that I look back they dont post pics of the actual firearm you are buying, then it takes weeks to "process" How would anyone know the difference. I could run that business from my garage.

Maybe they are legit, but no where else does it take that long to process and if you dont like it, you can pay %10 to cancel your order. So they make money either way.

Whatever... Im sure they are going to have their fans, I just learned a lesson that thankfully will only have to be learned once with Buds.

Im not their fan..... they did a class 3 transfer for me once. Took them 11 days to call me and tell me my paperwork was in, and none of them knew I picked it up the day the form 4 arrived from the owner of the shop. Good thing he is a friend of my dad's. He called and saved me from cussing someone out down there!

I've done several buys over the past few years.

Similar experience this last week. Bought the gun on Monday and was told 3 to 7 days to ship. Emails said it went to shipping in 3 days. After 4 more days I called and promptly got a "I don't know what is wrong, should have shipped 2 days ago but will check it out" response. Within 2 hours I received a UPS tracking number and upgraded shipping.

Maybe the pace of sales is picking up and they are overwhelmed.

Sometimes you just have to poke a stick in the cage and stir up the monkeys.
