Range Report New Caliber 7WSM/&RSUAM?

Re: New Caliber 7WSM/&RSUAM?

They are close. If you running in a SA I like the RSAUM in a LA I would go with the WSM. Both need to be reloaded for if you want to target shoot. If it's only for hunting I would run a 7mag for ammo choices.

Re: New Caliber 7WSM/&RSUAM?

If ammo availability is a concern to you then pick the 7RemMag over either one of those. Same performance and more ammo around than the other two combined. But like 264 said, if you are serious about long range target shooting you will eventually be reloading anyway, in which case it like doesnt matter much what you pick.

You guys with that elevation at your advantage...haha I am running my SAUM with 162s at 3018FPS (average from the chrono) and at my elevation is around 6.6 to 1K.

SAUM is a great round and gets the same velocity as the other two (WSM and 7Mag) with a lot less powder. I am throwing 180s at over 3000fps with 60 grains of powder and a 26 inch tube(4831SC)and there are guys throwing the 180s at 3050 with 61 grns of 4831sc.

all great calibers but the SAUMs case design is better than both the other two mentioned which alows you to get the same performance with less powder and recoil.
