being that we are all kicking out crazy ideas this week, has anyone ever considered putting the LMT iron sights that came with your rifle on two 45 offset mounts (front and back) for something very similar to the DD-RTS rapid transition sights?? im sure everyone that has purchased a LMT MWS has some $150 dollar high quality iron sights just sitting in the corner of their basement not being used. Could just keep the offset mounts on and could take the quick detach LMT iron sights on or off when needed?? LOL, yes i know... its a crazy friggen idea. I don't think I would ever do this... just killing me to see what it looks like in person / picture...

LOL, does anyone happen to have two offset mounts that could set this up on their LMT with a scope and take a picture???.... LOL, I'm just wondering what it might look like and how similar this would look like the DD-RTS rapid transition sights.... It would be really interesting to see a pic of this if someone with an LMT that has these parts on hand and a camera. GG&G offset mounts are like $24 dollars a crack. First person that comes up with a pic wins!! RLMAO

Well I am not going to win, however I dont think it's that crazy of an idea.

If you have the other parts already and dont feel like dropping another $200 for Duecks then I think it would probably work just fine.

Re: crazy idea with your LMT iron sights!!!! RFLMAO

Those LMT BUIS are far from "high quality". If fact they are complete pieces of rubbish.

Since you arent using them anyway, you should sent them to me so I can dispose of them with the rest of my trash.

Had some laying around, not sure I'm digging it. Maybe if they didn't stick out so much.

There are some companies that make low profile folding sights. Those might work better. Unfortunately, they are really expensive.

Re: crazy idea with your LMT iron sights!!!! RFLMAO

I tried the 45 on mine and the rear sight hit the scope. The 1 o'clock mounts work but I would like them to be about 1/2in shorter.

I tried this same thing for my POF with my Troy irons. These mounts are not made for mounting irons. They are made for mounting a micro red dot. Also they do not attach to the top rail as one might think. But rather on the side rail of the hand guard. I had to go return my 1 o-clock mounts.

Your best bet for 45 degree offset sights are the KAC 600meter sights! Get it done right the first time.

Any thing KAC is HIGH but their product is damn good and done right. Incredible customer service as well, not like you would need it...

Re: crazy idea with your LMT iron sights!!!! RFLMAO

If you want simple offset backups, get the XS Sights version. The Knights are cool, but you gotta have a government budget to pay for 'em.
