I have bought another sps varmint. This is a new rifle. The problem is when chambering a round it feels like it gets in a bind. There are scratches on the bullet (scuffs) and the brass is scratced bad. I have inspected but cannot find any burrs. What else could I look att, could it be the box mag (ADL). The spring follower is real easy to push down in the front. Could this putting round in a bind in the magazine? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

if you could post a picture of one you've cycled thru it might help see what the problem could be.

i had the same problem, same gun. I ended up changing the extractor and it made it better. I did have one real tough round today...but other than that it's been much much better than factory.

I'm considering doing a sako or m16 extractor instead though.
