United Airlines mistreats vet.

Re: United Airlines mistreats vet.

Every American owned airline is absolute garbage.

I refuse to fly any of these airlines unless it's the only option, like domestic flights.

Re: United Airlines mistreats vet.

That's why I drive. I only fly if I can't get there by truck.

Re: United Airlines mistreats vet.

That's horrible. I hope United Airlines gets alot of backlash from this and loses money!!

Re: United Airlines mistreats vet.

adding United to my do not fly list...Delta has been there for a LONG time...

Re: United Airlines mistreats vet.

if someone kicked my god damn service dog i would choke the shit out of someone right there and then PERIOD. If someone kicked a K9 Police DOg they would be arrested for assualt.

Its a new liberal world where the volunteers of this war on terrorism are being shit on

Re: United Airlines mistreats vet.

I worked for TWA in the late 60's to mid 70's. Even back then United had a bad reputation with ticket agents and customer service agents. It is a real shame this went down hill like it did. There are enough aircraft leaving Dulles airport this man could have been booked on to get him home. There is no excuse for this to have happened. A formal complaint with the FAA is a good place to start, Dulles is owned buy the Govt not private, city or the state of VA, at least it was last time i asked a friend. MM

Re: United Airlines mistreats vet.

I flew for the last time last June. At best even able bodied travelers are treated rudely while those of us missing a few danglely bits are treated like criminals or sideshow attractions.

Re: United Airlines mistreats vet.

Well, I had sent a letter that contained " In regards to the series of incidents involving you (as a carrier) and Jim Stanek (Disabled Veteran Customer), I am inquiring about an explanation as to why and how this happened and what you have done. " and I had sent it on 7-28-12.

I just received an actual email that was not a 'form letter' from a/the(?) Sr. Mgr. Customer Care that contained "Our employees routinely provide service to customers with disabilities and service animals in the course of their jobs. Mr. Stanek's assertion is certainly counter to their training and the service they provide each day. We take this seriously and are conducting a thorough review. "

There is more, but that is the jist of it, and I'm hoping that there will be actual progress. Would be good to hear what happens, in the end.

Hope this helps,
