In my research, I have found that most are running 1:8" twists in 6.5x47L. I have also seen that 139 & 140 grain has a recommended twist of 1:9"
I would like to take advantage of the 139grain, but I don't want limit myself with my twist. I have a 1:8.5" from a a previous build that didn't go through. Will it be enough for the 139 grain, or should I step up to 1:8" to really get the full benefit?
Also, if it makes any difference, I would prefer to use a shorter barrel on the rifle for practical reasons.
