Gent's,

I'm ready to take the next step...I want a can! In a nutshell, will you please confirm these basics or, let me know if I'm not understanding correctly?

1) Hire an Attorney who's familiar w/NFA Trusts to set up and draft a trust for me & my family
2) Sign & notarize completed trust
3) Purchase a can and have my dealer fill out the necessary BATFE paperwork
4) Send $200.00, trust, fingerprints(?), and paperwork to BATFE
5) Wait for approval from BATFE
6) Once approval/stamp is received, pick up can from dealer

Please advise if this sounds about right?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Title II Questions

Lots of dealers have trust papers for you to set up (no lawyer, no finger prints, no law enforcement sign off)

I suggest buying a suppressor that is in stock at shop, pay for can & $200 for stamp - then wait (can save months waiting for can to show up it dealer)

Re: Title II Questions

I would second the comment of finding a dealer that has the can that you want in stock. A lot of dealers will tell you that they are a dealer for XX brand then 6 months later they finally get your can in stock. Then you submit the paperwork and start the next 6 month wait.
