Thinking about a SS 6x for my FNAR.Have a 3x9 40 leup. on it now .Seem s to do everything I want set at 6x .0 to 500 . Anything longer I have a 300 rum .Any input?

To 500 yards 6x would be fine on a larger sized target. Not so much for precision work.

6x is probably a pretty good match to the FNAR. I have both the 6x and 10x and while 10x definitely works better on smaller targets, the 6x seems to be a better allround scope, especialy is some of the targets are fairly close in.

I have a 6x on my Savage .22, and couldn't be happier.
I find that I'm a little hindered by the 10x for things closer than 100yds.

Really 0 to 300 would be the bulk of the shooting 500 max only when things were perfect or just for fun. Thanks for all your input
