We just posted a mini-review of LDI's newest entry to the Class 1 arena that have been flying off the shelves this week and that is the CQBL-1 (Close Quarters Battle Laser).

Extremely low profile with slaved lasers for easy zeroing is a real plus for this unit. You can see the mini-review here http://www.tnvc.com/shop/ldi-cqbl-1-class1-ir-laser/

Re: Laser Deivces Newest Class 1 IR Laser: CQBL-1

I really like the fact the lasers are slaved. Vic what kind of recoil will these units handle?

Re: Laser Deivces Newest Class 1 IR Laser: CQBL-1

Victor, is there much difference if any in laser quality or ability to hold zero across the difference Class 1 models you're selling now?

Or is the main difference the unit size/packaging and features?

And does the I2 have problems w/.308?! I haven't used it on my R700 yet and won't if that's the case!

Re: Laser Deivces Newest Class 1 IR Laser: CQBL-1

I always thought these were a cool design and haveing class 1 IR now is great!

Hi, I've never had hold zero or recoil issues with any Class 1's, nor restricted models, which are virtually the same except for the power levels.

LDI's Class 1's laser power levels are all .7mW except for the LAS/TAC exclusive TNVC Handgun Lasers we sell, these are .1mW so not to bloom at typical handgun ranges.

I have used the DBAL-A2's, D'2's, and I2' on my custom McMillan .308's with NO issues to date. The LDI QD mounts on all their lasers are very solid.

The CQBL is not QD, but a screw mount and no issues with this unit as well from our shoot testing. Thank you.

Is it going to come in any color other than black? A tan one would be pretty sexy. Like the streamlined design, a lot.

Indeed, a desert tan would look tasty.

A brief history on the color black with the CQBL.

This CQBL was originally designed for a CRANE contract for VIP protection with use on the black MP7 PDW Machine Gun. The users explicitly wanted and needed the lowest profile available where every inch counted for under the coat wear. Thus, a reason only red vis. diode is used as the green diodes are a tad bit longer.

Since so many users as of late are liking the low profile of the CQBL on their AR platforms, desert tan for some would be welcomed.

We are told, if there is enough demand for a tan unit, LDI will make them.

Re: Laser Deivces Newest Class 1 IR Laser: CQBL-1

To me, the CQBL seems to replace the DBAL I2; it does everything the I2 does in a much neater and tighter package. Hopefully enough interest is generated for us to see it in tan!

Re: Laser Deivces Newest Class 1 IR Laser: CQBL-1

As I mentioned to you in a PM, Clasky will be taking the pics of it when he gets to it on Monday. He has a pretty big list of gear he takes pics of..It's a long list every week.

I do try to give my employees off on the weekends and I'm not the photographer. You can see all his awesome work on our announcement way back this year when we first announced and got the CQBL's.

As stated, we want to talk with you on Monday, give us a call. You can also order on-line now and if you don't like the color, return it free of charge and will even refund your money. :) Will not cost you a dime out of your pocket...

P.S. We also have SUPER special intro pricing on these units that will save you some big amounts. Hide members give us an email or call on this as well. :)

Black would have matched the HK a bit better. But this will go on a few host, most likely to stay on my 300 BLK SBR.

Re: Laser Deivces Newest Class 1 IR Laser: CQBL-1

showed up in the mail yesterday then roughly sighted in to match with Trijicon SRS in front of a mum 14 3rd gen IIT F9800 tube. fortunate to have a full overcast night to play with this thing. even with low output IR setting at 200 yards would light up a tree casting enough light to the ground below illuminating the shadows. aimed at a reflective surface such as a car IR would put on some kind of light show producing even more illumination than when reflected off a usually non-reflective surface. did not have a clean 300 yards to play with but at 200 and under IR would produce a bright halo on any target even after adjusting the gain on the mum 14. small footprint large value i am impressed.
