So let me get this straight, I take a career ending injury and medically retire from my department. Once I did this, I immediately began collecting my tax dollar funded pension (tax free). The same pension that, if I was not working, would put me below the poverty line. But since I decided to stay with the municipality and continue working as a civilian, I'm a piece of shit?
