Too often it's only a bitchfest about company customer service, so I felt I really needed to give Brownells props...

I had ordered a Forster "go" gauge in .243/.308 for re-barrel, and somehow Forster mislabeled or incorrectly packaged a .223 gauge in the bag. Called Brownells, and she cheerfully said "we'll send you out the correct one right away"...I asked "How do I get this one back to you?"..."Don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll be able to use it at some point"...

Other times, when I've needed something in a hurry- overnighted- they've jumped through hoops and gotten it done same day. I've had others that will remain nameless give you an expedited shipping quote- like next day or 2nd day- but not guarantee you when it'll get sent! Like, what's the point in overnighting something if you might not send it out for four more days?

Just venting, in a positive way

    Re: Gotta love Brownells...

I have dealt with firearms companies, parts, tools, guns etc all my life and Brownells has hands down been the best to deal with.
And that isn't just because I got a shcolarship from them!!
When I went to thank Frank, he shook my hand and wouldn't let it go and was the nicest guy I ever met, and he treated me like family.

Same here. They will actually leave the desk, go look for what you need, and get right back to you ASAP. Always a pleasure to deal with them.

    Re: Gotta love Brownells...

All of my contact through ordering, questions, and customer support were all A+. I really like that they are just down the interstate so all shipments are basically 1 day.

I had the exact same thing happen to me about a month ago but was from midwayusa. They handled it the same as Brownells did with you. Good customer service is hard to find but when I do I do repeat buisness with them!

Brownells are just great they have great customer service and they are very helpfull when I need something here they know and are willing to assist when export permits are required, I can say that they are among very few companies that help to preserve the sport shooting in Israel and I just can't thank them enough

Sounds like Forster needs to hire a new pair of hands (or someone to program the machinery) to label/ package their gauges

    Re: Gotta love Brownells...

Some years back I ordered a 16" AR barrel made by a well known (at the time) AR parts manufacturer. I installed the barrel and at the range was shooting over a chronograph at a target 25yds away. After several rounds, I noticed that the target had these really cool spiral patterns of lead spatter on it. Bullets were coming apart! Factory loads, and the twist rate on the barrel (and I checked it) was well within the specs for the bullet. The inside of the muzzle looked like it had been parkerized along with the rest of the barrel, with a fine pitting. (Years and lotsa training/experience later, I suspect it was actually caused by a burr at the gas port.) I called Brownells, and spoke with a technician. He went back to their barrels from this manufacturer and checked all of them. They were all the same. No bullshit excuses, no questioning what I did to screw things up, no "well, you have fired rounds through that barrel now". They had me box it up and send it in and refunded my money. I have been a satisfied and repeat customer ever since.

    Re: Gotta love Brownells...

A couple years ago a friend of mine had to go to driver training in Iowa. While there he knew I was ordering blueing salts so he told me he would pick them up for me instead of paying all the bullshit shipping fees. He finished up his training on a Saturday afternoon, so he drove to Brownells and slept in the truck over night. Sunday morning on his way to church Frank B. noticed the truck and stopped to see if he could help the driver thinking he had problems. Keith told him he was there for my order so Frank open up to get the salts. That's going above and beyond in my book. I only deal with Brownells since.

    Re: Gotta love Brownells...

I am setup as a dealer through them and think they are excellent to deal with. I live 30 minutes from Midway but still do most of my business with Brownell.

    Re: Gotta love Brownells...

Brownells is quite simply the finest firearms related parts supplier I've ever dealt with.
    Bar none.
It is so refreshing to call them and speak with someone who knows a thing or two about the products they're selling rather than an ignorant minimum wage order taker.
