So I've decided I'm going to have one of my M&P9s milled for a Mini Red Dot, just because...

(probably by D. Bowie...?) I'm looking for recommendations on the sight. I was pretty much set on a RMR but I read some threads about them having issues handling the slide recoil. From what I've read Trijicon had acknowledged the issue and was working on a solution but I haven't found any documentation as to whether the issue has been successfully resolved. I' most interested in hearing from those with personal experience with a MRDS on a semi-auto pistol; pics would also be awesome. Thanks in advance! PLong

I'd say the Vortex newbie or the Insight MRDS, then Docter, then ponder the FastFire3 or the Leupold

T1is the only one I'd consider for a "serious" handgun. If its a race gun, you have a ton of options.

Ya know, I'm pretty much coming to the same conclusion (and I don't really like that answer...

I started this thread hoping to hear a bunch of positive feedback from folks who were using one, or more, of the available MRDS on the market. I really wanted the Trij RMR to be a viable solution as I really like what it (they...) has (have) to offer. While I'm not sure how "serious" this gun will be purposed (I have others for EDC, and other personal/family defense purposes) I don't really believe in owning pure "range toys". IMHO you should be able to "trust" all of your firearms if you need to.

Re: Which MRDS for my M&P9?

From what I'm seeing, I'd give em another year to beef up the concept before machining a slide for one. I'd trust a t1, but who wants that on a handgun...

Get the suppressor buis to cowitness and you can still trust it even if the MRDS fails.

Agreed. The technology is almost there, just needs a little fine tuning.
