Alabama tries to avoid history.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

I hate to break ya'lls "Roll Tide" hearts but, get the sand out of your eyes man.

Where's this bullshit coming from if Alabama doesn't embarrass every opponent they play shitty. Hate to break it to you but your opponent has something to do with your poor play. If that wasn't the case your NC last year was a total fluke!!!

I totally understand your devotion and being a rabid fan but lets be realistic also. You guys are not unbeatable by any stretch of the imagination.

I believe truthfully LSU had the only real chance and talent to beat you in the SEC. They really should of they didn't they puked. Unless you all puke. I will go back to my original prediction. The NC is yours to lose. But please spare me the BS of the "Untouchable" theory.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

No offense, but I don't think Oregon stands a chance. In fact, most teams from that conference would probably not hold a candle to most SEC teams, sorry. I would love to see some playoff like games between more teams throughout the country just to see how everyone stacks up in reality.

First, there is no SEC outside 5-6 teams. Second, check the records as the PAC-12 (10) has played the SEC very well and the record is near even.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

^^^Actually there is 14 teams in the SEC right now. I am talking both the East and the West. It will be an interesting match up for sure. Oregon and their aggressive passing offense vs. the SEC ridiculously good defense and running plays. I want it to happen because it would be awesome to watch.

Being a self described "Rabid Alabama Fan" I couldn't AGREE with you more.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

The game this weekend will be interesting to see if A&M is ready for the big time.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

I really feel like Bama's defense will win them the Natl. Chmshp.
Of course, Ive always been a defensive guy and really believe that
defenses win championships.

Piss poor coaching based on confidence in an unreliable QB resulted in an Aggie win tonight. Now I've got to hear all about Tebow reincarnate....

No, they didn't get judged, they got beat. An event that happens to every team. Their one loss does not take away from their domination of other opponents, especially the criminals over in Louisiana in their own backyard. I guess three or four losses over four seasons is a commonplace in college football....oh wait, it's not.

I'll judge them by their history and record. Last time I checked no one comes close to 14 National Championships.

You are a poet of the college football game! The Tide will bounce back and proceed to the NC game. Making it 15 titles.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

I was in Jordan hare when despite our blowout loss. the crowd let out and enormous cheer and I knew right then the Tide had fallen. A&M really came to play this year. I am very impressed and glad they are representing the SEC.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

Texas A&M may very well be the most underrated team in
college football. They just flat out whipped Bama's ass tonight.
No excuses. Straight up.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

Gig em Aggies! Texas A&M is a sleeping giant that is finally waking up

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

Texas A&M is for real. They rolled all over the Tide and dominated the game from their first possession. Other than LSU, the Aggies are the only tough team Bama has played. A&M's two losses were by less than 7 points total. The Aggies will be perennial challangers for the SEC West every year. Bama can't hang with fast paced offenses like A&M. Gig 'Em Aggies.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

Taking off my SEC homer and Bammer (an Alabama homer is a "Bammer") hats, I'm starting to think Oregon and Kansas State may be the best two teams this year. Ive watched them both play multiple times and they're impressive. ND, while improved, is still not a top 5 team (IMHO) even though they've squeaked out wins vs all their mediocre opponents.

Its a probably a good thing Alabama doesn't have to play the 3 best teams from the SEC East (FL, GA, SC) in the regular season this year or they'd likely have another L on their record. GA yet to come....

In years past, a one loss SEC team might get the nod to play in the BCS Championship game vs an undefeated Pac-10 or Big 12 team but not this year. Bammers or Dawgs must hope for USC to upset ND and TX to upset Kansas State to get a shot. I simply don't see Oregon losing to either Stanford or USC/UCLA.

The SEC may not have the best team this year (yet to be determined) but it's hard to make a realistic argument that it is not still the best conference with 5 teams in the BCS top 10.

You might want to re-count those total points in losses Hoss...Aggies are definitely a worthy addition to the SEC. Glad to see them back after so many years of playing substandard football.

Enjoy your well deserved win

Depends on what years. A few ago it was Texas, then befor that the Floridas, before that, way before it was Notre Dame. Shit happens, shit changes.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

The Aggie O-line impressed me more than anything.
But, if I had to guess a Natl. Chmp. at this pount and time
it would be Kansas State Wildcats. Just my 2 cents

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

I am happy to see the lost since all the chatter of Bama could beat some NFL teams, not gonna happen. Bama looked slow and confused at times with A&M speed, timing, fundamentals and delivering the blows, LSU game I am sure had something to do with this but its football and you play who you play. Win lose aside just talent, couching, and team, I still believe Bama is #1 and LSU is #2, I think both of these teams on a neutral field would beat the all the others A game to A game with Bama a less than one score fav due to their better pass offense but in another rematch LSU wins.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

Ya know, thats one thing Ive never thought could happen.
-That a college team could defeat a pro team.
The college team would get hurt imo. The NFL teams are
all seasoned battle hardened best of the best.
I honestly think the notion of any college team defeating
a pro team is ridiculous.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

If Bama gets to the NCG to play Oregon, I would still pick Bama. If the dumbass that is Ted Roof can make a game plan to keep Oregon in check, I'm pretty sure Saban can.

And that's coming from a die-hard Auburn fan.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

I must admit, I was concerned about this game considering how last week went for Bama. I had a lot of respect for Manzeil, but he did do a great job last nightly main problem with last nite's game was the play calling on the last 4 plays for Bama. I can't believe they passed 3 of 4 plant when they are 5yards from the endzone. I'm not a football expert, but that didn't make sense to me.

Congrats to A&M fans on a great performance.

However, here's to K-state and Notre Dame losing.
I would like to see Oregon and Alabama play, especially after Bama gets a few weeks to rest and prepare.

We will see.

Not really. Texas won by controversial play, and that was one year with that dumbass Vince Young. Florida won two out of three years but the problem there is that was two out of three NC's they have. Alabama is far from through with continuing their legacy.

Yeah, every now and then, people say the college team currently hot could beat a lower tier NFL team. Never happen. NFL football is light years from college in speed, skill, strength, sophistication etc etc etc.

That said, college football is MUCH more exciting to talk/argue about IMHO

It was actually 8 points..... and what is the old saying? It doesn't matter if you win by a mile or and inch, winning is winning. Goes the same for losing.

A&M is a good team, but not the best in the SEC...... not even close. Only tough team BAMA has played?! HAHA! Now that is funny. Aggies schedule was not to hyped up.

Wallace obviously got rattled, but we dont have a O-line or a D-line. We dont have a O-coordinator or a D-coordinator. Its hard for any QB to look good with what we have, much less being a red shirt freshman. AU is already looking at next year. This year is over. I say save Wallace and dont risk him getting hurt.

Im just glad there will be some peace at work now that local Bama fans realize the team is not invincible. I admit a National Championship without an SEC team wont be as interesting to me, but at least it wont be Bama any more

I always leave my comments with loose ends and you guys always find them.

7 mil is a tough pill to swallow, but if it makes us well, then we need to take our medicine and move on. Its getting sad seeing the stadium half empty not even half way through the games.

Right now, I just hope we dont lose some of the players that had committed to other schools after the season we have had.

A little hasty there bro. Two more regular season games and conference playoffs. I can see the SEC champion in for the BCS title.

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

It most certainly could be Bama in the Natl. Chmpshp.
Especially if Oregon or KSU looses.
Personally, I think Notre Dame is overrated.
That being said, the SEC is just too hard to go undefeated imo.
just my opinion fellas
smile.gif

Could Oregon, KSU or ND go undefeated in the SEC?
There really needs to be some sort of play off imo

Re: Alabama tries to avoid history.

Man i really hope that k state loses so oregon and bamma play for the title!!! watching the ducks offense play is like poetry in motion. On the other hand the bamma defense is good but i can't wait to see how they perform against not just a ridiculously fast players, but a ridiculously fast paced offense.

Also for the record the pac 12 currently has 5 teams in the top 20 not to shabby.
