Re: SHWW Group

Nice Marty!
My 2nd daughter, Shyla, shot a nice 4X3 with her 6mm Remington.
it was her first deer ever. I am very proud!
125 yard single shot through and through facing, bedded down neck shot.
Shyla was very cool making a perfect shot.
photobucket-41398-1350172517418.jpg

I shot a small 3X2 @ 275 yards as he was going straight away.
Brain shot with my 6.5X47 with a 130 Berger.
No pic's of mine as I was solo and it got late by the time I got it out.

Re: SHWW Group

<span style="font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'"> I'd post a picture of my big game this year, but thus far it's looking like tag soup, (although a lot can change in the late whitetail season).

This weather is a far cry from my first year of elk hunting in the colockum in the 80's when it was extremely cold. I was at 5700' a couple days ago, at it was 50+. Oh well, I've got a few more days searching for the elusive bull elk in NE WA. Hope my luck changes! <span style="font-weight: bold">Congrats Jim & Family and Marty on your success </span> </span>

Re: SHWW Group

I got to share the moment with my boys this year. Her first deer, that picture captured a very special moment Jim, that you got to share, a great memory and a damn fine Buck as well.

Re: SHWW Group

Just got home from elk camp. Tagged my first Elk and was glad to have all the long range practice. It was a long 50 yard shot and yes I used my competition rifle.

Congrats!!

Re: SHWW Group

Really sweet JD, looks like you had some work to be done after the fun part if shooting him huh???

Congrats on a very nice animal.

Re: SHWW Group

You would be amazed at the amount of alcohol that was leftover.

What happens at Elk camp is just like Vegas.

Re: SHWW Group

Had the tenderloins in camp and it was DELICIOUS. The best part is the road was about 100 yards behind me in the pic.

Re: SHWW Group

I walked away and conceded, but I keep getting hate mail like this from multiple people who want to bad-mouth me for voicing an opinion they disagree with.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Pinsandpitons</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Since you seem so eager to correct spelling in posts, I thought I would correct yours.

You mean 'clique'. A computer mouse makes a 'click' sound when used to check spelling. Unfortunately for "big dick" douche-bags like you, it doesn't know the difference between the two heterographs.

I noticed in your profile that you enjoy argument. Cool. Perhaps you could leave your fight-picking, ass-clown opinions out of it and make one. Or better yet, if you must call names, make accusations, and correct the spelling of strangers, you should do so without shouting into the proverbial megaphone of a public forum. It's a sadly transparent effort to make everyone see how smart, insightful, and cool you are. Send them a PM instead. It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, then open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Yours,
Taylor (See? A real name!) </div></div>

If anyone else is wondering my name is Nick (which if Taylor had spent even 60 seconds researching me he'd see I've never hidden it). I've never made any attempt to hide who I am. And Taylor... I don't give a shit what others think about me. I'm not here to make friends and pretend I'm anything I'm not, which is more than I can say for you right now. Anyone who's actually met me in person or spent any measure of time with me knows I'm not a bad guy to be around, but since you seem so interested in my personal name and who I am I'll be at Scott's match in December if you're that interested in getting to know me.

Clearly. And for the record, you didn't concede and walk away, you posted a private message in a public forum. I stand by what I wrote and will repeat what you didn't post. Your behavior on these forums reflects (like it or not) you personally. If you want to be seen as a troll, then keep it up.

To everyone but Nick on this thread, I sincerely apologize for bringing this on you. I didn't desire this to spill out and involve you all. I have learned my lesson. I won't feed them anymore... PM or otherwise. I'm sorry.

I did actually, but you failed to actually read what was said prior and ran your mouth at me in a pm. You and Mayday both thought you could take cheap jabs at me after the fact on the basis of giving your "opinions" when in fact you both simply took shots at me personally. I'm not going to apologize to any oxygen thief that thinks they can call me a douche bag whether private or public and then act like I'm hiding and intimidated.

Just thought I'd take a moment to thank all the great friends I've made thanks to this thread. I am here to meet people, make friends, and have a good time getting out shooting. Look forward to seeing some of you soon!

She's in for the winter... she's a fair weather shooter, whether it's rifle or camera. But she's already planning on breaking the camera back out for the Cup in March.

Re: SHWW Group

Jason, I am bringing my wife to the match in December, try and talk your beautiful bride in tagging along also, I am sure we can squad together so they can chat!

Re: SHWW Group

Thanks Jake, you just cost me.... apparently she will come out if I buy her a bunch of new, high-speed, cold weather gear.
eek.gif

I'll make it happen, she enjoys you all as much as I do.

Re: SHWW Group

LOL, I had to do the same!!! My wife was going to shoot, but I think she got cold feet and told me she would rather just watch. I am sure they will enjoy eachothers company.

What kind of work are you looking for? Consider yourself in sales - you're selling yourself. I've only known you from the limited interaction we've had at a couple of the local shoots, but you seem like a VERY stand-up guy, a family man (your wife is a sweet-hart), and a desire to always do the best work possible. I'm in sales and the first rule of sales is to utilize the customers you have,... it's called 'referrals'. Consider us referrals. What are you in the market for? Somebody, of the literally THOUSANDS of folks here, might know of something available. Worth a shot,... Give us a chance

Re: SHWW Group

New Hi speed cold weather gear is overrated. A couple of garbage bags and some duct tape, or an old poly tarps cut to fit. I hear thats what they're wearing on the wetside these days. Or there's always goodwill or the salvation army, and yes I do buy stuff from there.

Is that a manners stock? I covet everything about them except the length from the grip to the trigger. Nice photo.

Re: SHWW Group

When I first glanced at the picture I thought the rifle was sitting on a net, then I realised it was rocks, damn sexy to say the least Jim. Laid out in a similar canyon this Sunday but the only I thing I could call in were nosey does and fawns, damn yotes probably still full from the past couple weeks with all the scraps we left out for them.

Re: SHWW Group

Hey all,
I am in line for an order of Billet Black Rain Ordnance stripped lowers coming in to my distributor next week. I've never dealt with them but they have some great reviews and reasonably priced. With Obummer getting re-elected these lowers are already tough to find in the last two days!

I only have a few on order right now, but if you want one, let me know and you're price is $189+tax including FFL transfer if you come to Wenatchee. Let me know if you are interested via PM, email, or on this thread! Thanks

Mike

Re: SHWW Group

I have for sale locally, 1999 Berger 6mm 105 grain Hybrids.

All same lot, all boxes but one are sealed. the open box, has one taken out of it and I looked at it. Then lost it, I think, it might be back in the box, but no promises.

Midwayusa has them for $33.50 a box plus $25 shipping
Powdervalley has them for $32 a box plus $25 shipping

I will go $30 a box for each locally. So 20 boxes, for a total cash price of $600 FTF. I would like to keep these local, as they are hard to find sometimes.

I am up for trading as well as long as it is fair. I would be interested in a RH .223 bolt rifle for my wife. Plus or minus cash is fine.

Let me know if you want them. We can meet at a match or whatever works best.

Re: SHWW Group

17 Nov Practical rifle match at Upper Nisqually Sportsman's Club

We received our new steel, so the courses of fire have been modified to add them into the mix. The four courses of fire will be to hit the plates assigned for that stage as many times as you can in 60 seconds from various scenarios.

Orientation and safety brief starts at 8:30am for first time shooters, match starts at 10am.

Please remember: No bullets with any ferrous content are allowed.

Re: SHWW Group

Hi all.
Alan and I will be putting on a series of 6 matches for the 2013 calender year.
We will check schedules for the big local matches, such as Findlay Cup, Kettle Falls and Oregon Snipers challenge.
These will be theme oriented with as much information given out as possible. They will be all steel and while some won't have large volumes of shots, there will be problem solving to help elevate your abilities.
We will have a schedule out in early December.
Jim
