I have a chance to buy a refurbished Chris Reeve small Serbenza for $250. Knife has warranty card with it still.

Is this a decent price for this knife? I am also curious if the warranty follows the knife because the way the warranty card reads it looks like it is only for the original owner?

Thanks,

that's $100 off a NEW Sebenza...
but how was it refurbished?

and as for warranty...you'd most likely need to e-mail or call up CRK...i doubt it'd be an issue, though...

btw...i'd buy it for that...next to my custom ritter i edc..the small sebbie is all i'd ever replace it with!

Re: Is $250 good for a refurbished small Serbenza?

As I understand it, the seller is calling it refurbished because it was sent back to Chris Reeve and sharpened and cleaned/gone over while it was there. It looks brand new except for some fraying on the lanyard.

I think it's a good buy I just wanted to double check the $350 msrp is about what the knife would actually go for new.

What Ritter do you edc?

they sell for $350 on knifecenter...so i'd say that's about normal....seriously, i'll buy it if you don't want it haha

but i edc a full size ritter with some Cuscadi scales...i had two, a full size and mini, but sold the mini after I realized i was too scared to mess up the finish haha

here's mine and a picture I sent in with my review to him

It had the "spa" treatment which isn't free. It also means it was used so make sure you get pics and a good description of any flaws. But $100 off is the going deal. You won't have trouble getting rid of it at that price if you need to down the road. It's also a good way to try one out to see if it's for you.

GSRswapandslow,
Those scales make that knife! I have a mini griptillian and the scales are definitely the downfall of that knife but for the straight Benchmade knives they meet a good price point. However, they make that Ritter a perfect EDC setup, I have always liked the width of that line of knives.

Hawk45,
I have seen this knife in person on multiple occasions and I can't find any flaws or scuffs to speak of. Blade looks new and the handles don't have a scratch on them. To look at it you would think it was new.

I let the seller know I want it, should pick it up next week.

I will post some pics when I get it.
