I am pleased to announce the scheduled dates for MagPul Dynamics Special Purpose / Designated Marksman Rifle and Precision Rifle 1 for Southern California to be held at Pala Range and instructed by Caylen Wojcik.

PR1 - April 15-18 Course Tuition $750 Range Fee $80 ($20 per day) 50% due March 15th

We will only be registering 12 students per class. To register for this event, please call MagPul Dynamics at 877-4MAGPUL(462-4785). A $200 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due at the time of enrollment to secure your spot in the class. 50% of your range fee is due by March 15th. PM/Email me for details on this. Download and fill out the Student Application and get it to MagPul with your deposit.

There will also be an opportunity for shooters to purchase the MGM AR500 Targets we will use during the class at a 30% discount and no shipping costs. This would be a great time to purchase that IPSC Steel plate you have been wanting. http://mgmtargets.com

You don't need 10k in gear to benefit from these courses. No matter what your experience level is, learning will occur. Caylen is an incredible instructor and really makes sure everyone is tracking. Students should show up with a zeroed rifle that will be confirmed the first day of class.

This was my first long range class. I understood many of the concepts of long range but this course connected all the dots for me and allowed me to put them to practice.

I took the class last years...I haven't stopped telling my co-workers about it. He's got mad skills and unvarnished, up to date information and break it down so it's digestable even to the laymen. He is an experienced operator but also knows how to instruct to LE/Civilian students...very important if you're looking for an instructor. He even drew pictures for me...I need pretty diagrams in crayons and sign language to help me understand.

Guys this is a great venue to come shoot at. We had an awesome time last year and I hope to see some familiar faces again this year. Our curriculum has grown so for those coming back, expect some new materials, tips and tweaks. We've got a few slots remaining for both courses, so don't miss out on a great training event.

Cheers

Re: Magpul PR1/SPR SoCal April 2013 Dates

I just saw this and I can only say that this reinforces my belief that Magpul is on the shooters side.

With the state of the industry right now, the Dynamics crew is making some accomodations....

Magpul Dynamics Pricing and Ammunition Requirement Update

In an effort to make training more accessible in these times of increased prices and reduced availability, Magpul Dynamics has updated their pricing structure, round counts, and acceptable calibers for the 2013 training year.

Effective immediately, all three-day classes are reduced to $600 per student, and two-day classes are reduced to $450 per student. In addition, the curriculum has been revised for all pistol/carbine courses based on the changes occurring over the past year to allow for maximum training value at a slightly reduced round count. Also, we are temporarily allowing the use of pistol-caliber carbines and 22LR AR-15 pattern training rifles in the carbine classes. Please understand that there are many drawbacks to training with 22LR as opposed to normal rifle platforms, but significant training value will still exist. We expect a full return to allowing rifle-caliber rounds only in the future as the ammunition supply catches up with current demand and ammunition prices return to a reasonable level. However, we understand the financial burden placed on students with the current state of the economy and the rapid rise in retail pricing in the ammunition industry. We firmly believe in the value of quality firearms training and are committed to providing quality products and services at a fair price.

Howard, the pictures drawn in SPR/DMR are equally great. Come join us with your gas gun.

Re: Magpul PR1/SPR SoCal April 2013 Dates

I suggest all So Cal Hider's take this if they want to learn. You don't get such an opportunity often in SoCal because of range availability and limitations. Just the convenience alone is worth it.

Re: Magpul PR1/SPR SoCal April 2013 Dates

Guys,
Those of you that are considering taking this class need to just do it, Caylen is an awsome instructor. I took the PR1 class from him last August at the Yakima location, after four days of shooting my shoulder was sore and bruised, but I became one with my rifle and learned so many things that are crtitical for accurate long range shooting, you won't be disappointed.
