Re: SHWW Group

Anyone have any extra ATV tires?

I am looking for 9 inch rim tires for the back and 11 inch rim tires for the front.

Used is perfect. Just something that holds air!

This is for a 4 wheeler that the ranch owns, I just noticed the tires are bald as can be. Thought it would be nice to replace them for the ranch!

Thanks guys

Re: SHWW Group

Hey guys, hate to bug you on here about this, but, I figured it might be the best spot for info. I have a friend in Texas that bought an eotech from me. My wife tried to ship it for me while I was at work, and the ups store told her that it is illegal to ship gun parts. They were apparently quite adiment that ups, USPS, and FedEx would not send it, and that I would h e to send it through a gun shop. I know this is bullshit... What can I tell them or show them that would convince them to send it? Preferably something that won't send me to prison... Btw, I'm in spokane.

Re: SHWW Group

nothing illegal about that...its a scope for peat seaks...the ups people were just being a bunch of idiots.

Re: SHWW Group

The UPS Store in general is, in my experience, about as clueless about such things as its possible to be. They have only as much knowledge of any shipping regs as necessary to charge Mom for sending a care package to the kids in college - and not f-ing much else.

You'd be much better off taking it straight to the local UPS desk, or any other shipping place. Occasionally you'll run into some old harridan running the desk who has an axe to grind and will find *something* to f$ck with you about - enforcing the packing standards, etc. But with the actual UPS office, if they don't already know the firearm-related regs, you can point them to their own web site (or print out a copy if you're feeling generous and want to save some time) and that will usually quell that B.S. post-haste.

Re: SHWW Group

Good idea memilanuk. I'll have to do that. As to correct what I said earlier, I didn't call them idiots. I believe my wording was more like
"If ignorance is bliss, they must be over-fucking-joyed."

Lol...

UPS Store = Evaders of Natural Selection

Never take anything to the store and try to always go to the local hub. The store's are clueless and almost every person there thinks they're an ATF agent. You can literally ship an Eotech through any of the 3 carriers as long as you're not shipping it out-of-country.

Re: SHWW Group

The next one I want to try and watch them start sputtering and stuttering is to ship a firearm to myself - at another address.

I knew you could ship a firearm from a private individual (non-FFL) to a manufacturer (FFL) for service, and if its warranty work on a gun you own, they're supposed to be able to ship it straight back to you (not to an intermediate FFL dealer).

But this fall, when I was in deer camp with some guys from a hunting magazine/show, one of the guys was flying in late and his gun had been shipped separately *directly to the land owner's door*. It was locked up tight, and addressed to the gun's owner, but at the local address. I asked and they said that was very legal, and that they do it all the time to get their guns to the outfitters or land owners where they were hunting.

I'm hoping that it really *is* true... because I have a friend or two in Phoenix, and if I don't have to dick around dragging a gun through airport security both ways when I fly down there in February for the Berger Southwest Nationals... that would be *SWEET*!!!

Re: SHWW Group

That is perfectly legal. I've been working for and with FFLs for years, it's amazing what the shipping companies don't know about firearms regulations.

It's on this page: ATF FAQ

Re: SHWW Group

The really annoying part of this is that, it's not even a part of a firearm. I should take my tac-light in and ask them which one of the 2i can ship. Then explain that they were both mounted on the same rifle. See how they chew that.

Re: SHWW Group

Thanks, that saved me some time searching for it...

Quote:

Q: May a nonlicensee ship firearms interstate for his or her use in hunting or other lawful activity?

Yes. A person may ship a firearm to himself or herself in care of another person in the State where he or she intends to hunt or engage in any other lawful activity. The package should be addressed to the owner. Persons other than the owner should not open the package and take possession of the firearm.

Just get a USPS medium-sized flat-rate box, pack it up, take it to the post office and hand it off. They won't ask, nor will they care.

Re: SHWW Group

It's like they don't want your business or something?!?! You'd think that a company that makes money off of shipping things, would seek any legal way to ship as many things as possible. +1 for box it up, and hand it off. You can address it to me if you'd like.

I don't think this is getting publicized as well as it should be. Here in Washington the WA State Lottery has partnered with the WA State Dept. of VA Affairs in a raffle where the proceeds go directly to the V.I.P Fund. The tickets are $10 and they're only selling 200,000 total tickets with a $1 million dollar grand prize. If you're near a WA Lottery Retailer or machine please consider contributing. More detailshere for those interested in learning more before purchasing a ticket. This is NOT a lottery but a raffle. There's also $100 & $1000 prizes. Raffle ticket sale ends January 1st, 2013 or when 200K are sold.

Re: SHWW Group

Ok, I give. I'm not usually one to ask for help... but I need a bandsaw for a half hour. I've been working on a stock for my .22 trainer project and there's just no easy way to rough the rest of the shape out without one. Doesn't have to be huge, just need about an 8" height (table to top guide). None of my wood type friends have one. (Hmmm .260 build or bandsaw??)

Bottom line, does anyone have a bandsaw in the Wenatchee area that I can use for a half hour? I pay in beer.

Re: SHWW Group

I've got one... Craftsman 14" steel frame, 1.5 hp, in theory should cut as much as 8.5" with the guides raised all the way up. Whether or not it has enough grunt to do it...

Went to a local gun shop today to watch the train wreck. I'd laugh at the 'sky is falling' chorus if I didn't harbor some real fears of my own.

Re: SHWW Group

I just got back from Sportsmans Warehouse, not Wholesale Sports, in Burlington, and there were probably 50 people crowded around the counter and the clerks behind the counter were pushing the rumors as hard as they could to sell, sell, sell... There were rumors said that where completely false and have no chances of passing, such as every pistol on our wall is going to go away so if you want them you need to buy them now... And the flock of sheep pull out their wallets...

Re: SHWW Group

A lot of folks are buying, and unfortunately I personally feel that this recent tragedy has given those who have little or no understanding an awful lot of fuel for pushing through more useless legislation that will not prevent events like this happening again. I hate to even admit that I actually contemplated buying another rifle, just because I remember how the prices skyrocketed the last time and remained so until the ban expired.

Re: SHWW Group

I cringe every time I hear some dumba$$ pundit say 'clip' instead of magazine. We fear what we don"t understand.

Re: SHWW Group

I picked up the 2nd to last lower from my local store yesterday.

Time for us 'law-abiding' gun owners to stand up and be heard. Write/mail/call your local congressman to not get caught up in this stupidity. From what I understand that idiot who shot all those kids used two pistols,... not the AR15 the media has been touting,... that (AR15) was sitting in the car. He DID kill his Mother with the rifle at his home, but not those poor kids.

Re: SHWW Group

Guys,

Wanted to let you know our new website it up and running. I am still adding pictures, testimonials and working on the "blog/whats new" material, but its a start.

Also, we were approached to be the bolt gun manufacturer for a TV show call Trigger Time TV. Jim Gilliland of Shadow 6 consulting will be running a R Bros 260 on the show starting on Dec 28th. We are honored and excited to be a part of the show. Some other cool new stuff coming this year as well.
