Frank. I am writing this to ask a favor. I am seriously concerned about impending legislation and the bans that they will try to impose.
Your site has a ton of traffic. Is it possible to put a special section at the top of the forum urging every member and visitor to contact their representatives and express their concerns about further legislation against our rights.
I have already sent emails and today I am writing letters as well. Having handed out info at gunshows before i suspect the vast majority of the people who took the handouts just trashed them when they got home. I am afraid if we do not get a major wave of people making contact our representatives will bend over this time (again). If they do manage to get a ban passed this time I would bet there wont be any sunset clause and will likely be way worse than the last one.

John. to each their own but I personally think anything we can do to get more people on board and get them to actually send an email or letter is really needed right now. It has just been my expirence that I have met alot of people who are concerned about new laws or bitch about existing laws but have never once even sent an email.
I do think most serious shooters/gunowners are active in contacting their reps however, I would guess (just a guess) alot of casual shooters/owners are not.
As I stated above I am concerned the libs will cram more bans/restrictions down our throats if we do not get everyone on board and let our reps know we will not tolerate them voting yes on these BS laws that do nothing but restrict out freedoms.

No, there is already way too many topics about the same thing being posted, every guy who stops in feels the need to vent in their thread. I get it which is why I haven't said anything

But we have a 2A section, a post in there is enough, we dont need people posting stuff in the semi section, bear pit, 2A, Inform, Scopes, Rifles, like they are.

I think we get the message... I am not stapling something on top of everything already posted.

People are lazy. A thread that listed contact info for each state would be highly beneficial. Individuals are far more likely to send letters and shit if someone does all of the footwork for them. I'm computer lazy, so I'm not volunteering.

Post it in the 2A section... nobody is stopping you but i am not tacking it to the "top of the forum" or putting in a different section, or bunch of sections

Ok I understand.
I was thinking along the lines of Athhud in that some people would do it if there is a link right there to click on. I just go to the NRA site and there is a "contact your reps" button. It will locate your correct reps based on where you live. It lets you write 1 message and it automaticly personalizes it for each rep and sends them out.
I was just hoping to get more people involved. Thanks anyway. Chris.
