No, neither are a purchase you should make. That said, if you're afraid black rifles won't be available due to government actions and just have to have one, it's your money.

If you're not in the AR game until now and just want one because "they're going to take them away", you're looking at an almost triple price mark up from what I paid last year for a stripped lower. My advice is to wait it out. If they're banned, oh well. If they aren't, wait for the pending flood of AR parts back onto the market because a huge portion of the panicked masses will realize they didn't really want the platform but instead wanted to "stick it to the man" and/or inflate the price for profit.

Not worth taking a risk this time, IMO. Buy the lower. even if you spend an extra hundred bucks to ensure you have one, so what. I spent 3 times that in ammo every time I go to the range.

x1000000...those prices are highway robbery.

Keep an eye on the Surplus Ammo & Arms website; they had stripped lowers for $100 on Monday but sold out fairly quickly. Seems like they've been getting new stock every week or so, then quickly selling out.

I think after the first of the year things will settle out a little bit...regardless of the eventual outcome of Feinstein's AWB.

I wouldn't buy anything right now. Everything's become hard to find, everybody's out of stock of this and that.
If you really must have it though, don't buy from anyone who has hiked their prices and make sure you let them know why you aren't buying from them.

Avoid JSE Surplus in Cape Girardeau, MO at all costs. They aren't exactly honest and are gouging horribly. I was in there today just for grins. It reaffirmed to me they are crooks with horrible business practices.

When I was in there yesterday they had removed all price tags from complete rifles, and then put out a small box of p-mags with $32.99 marked. I could clearly see a gigantic box of P-Mags in their stock room. Perhaps trying to create the perception of a shortage?

Oh, and nearly $50 for a carton of CCI #41 primers that are usually less than $30.

most of the reputable dealers have kept their prices the same, but all of them in doing so sold out of everything a few days ago.

After some surfing it looks like the price run is over. I have seen PMAGS come way back off what they were going for a day ago. Still to high but falling fast. Lowers are trending down as well. Stag lowers were between $115 and $130 last week are now back around $200 and $250 still to high but not the $500 or more yesterday and earlier in the week. There are a few assholes out there with asking prices ten times what they should be but they will cut back to reason or not move any product. What sucks is that most everybody is out of small parts. Who knows how long it will take to back fill all those orders.

Tonite on Gunbroker a complete Rock River lower with 6-position stk sold for $976. Still pretty damn high!

Yeah a lot of those are auctions that have been on for a few days. The 24hr auctions have not been turning over that kind of price in the last day or so. Must be nice to blindly piss away money.

I ordered 12 complete lowers last week with LMT. I called todat to comfirm the 4-6 week shipping date I was told last week. They informed me it is now 12-14 months. I don;t think they will be available to sell in six months when the hammer falls. AWB is written and near. Here we go again, but this time, I bet you it's a done deal.

I have been wondering what you do with all the scrap aluminum. Your shop must produce a huge amount. Sounds like you will now be a recycler of 7075 aluminum, into AR parts.

Why is it always the good people that rollover and give? The scumbages are always on the attack and always will be. The good people need to say FU and not take it anymore; we're not giving U shit. I spent 25yrs in the military and was always told "your fighting for your freedom and others around the world" What the hell is happening to us?

I lucked out I ordered one months ago from Brownells. They just shipped it out. Can't believe how long it took. Not bad a DPMS lower for $99. Wish they would have let me order more.

Exactly what I was thinking. Everyone should be writing their elected representatives. I also encourage all of us to talk with our friends and neighbors about this. We need to explain what the second amendments is for to our friends who have been misinformed by the media. Also take your friends out shooting that may not agree with you about the purpose of a black rifle. I have converted many people I know into supporters of our cause by taking them shooting.

I'm happy to hear this Glen.
I had intentions of buying a lower from you after the first of the year (because I would have some disposable Christmas income) and just building it one day in the future. Then the world went nuts a week ago and I was concerned I wouldn't get one.....because I <span style="text-decoration: underline">refuse</span> to pay ridiculous prices (i.e. over MSRP) for something I just want, not need.

WOW ! LMT contacted me on my order from mid December for 12ea complete lowers, 6 Defenders and a couple of Pistons rifles.

First it was 4-6 weeks, then 12-14 months. . . . Ready for this??

Ryan just informed me it will be 24-30 months.

Ha! Glen, what say you ??
