I like this idea. But two sided printing may increase cost. Can you see if this is a reasonable option High Binder?

We can do it but the two sided printing almost doubles the cost.

Re: Molon labe postcards -UPDATE NEED VOTES on design

Hate to toss a wrench into things but I also agree with removing the definition completely or placing it on the other side.

Question, how much interest support you have for this? Is it just the people in this thread or are there more behind the scenes via PM?

How do you make a poll on this site, I couldn't find it.</div></div>

My apologies, as I cannot find the "poll" option. It used to be there, but since the changes,,,, I guess it has been removed. Oh For Shit Sakes.... there it is, right beside the "POST OPTIONS" on the lower left hand side of the text box. Just above the "submit" button. Duhhhhh I couldn't see the forest, because the trees were in the way. HA.

Regarding the 'double-sided-printing', I had just naturally assumed (that means I had made an "ass of You and The-Other-Guy"

) that there was going to be the divided page, and address lines and whatnot. Like a standard postcard. My bad.

Actually, not me. The "Other Guy". HA.

There's been 3-4 people via PM and then only the people in this thread and the one in the second admend forum. That is why I haven't opened up taking donations yet.

Re: Molon labe postcards -UPDATE NEED VOTES on design

Im trying to do a poll but my compputer skills leave much to be desired, and following the poll instructions arent much better.

Re: Molon labe postcards -UPDATE NEED VOTES on design

Poll is up. Three days to vote.

Re: Molon labe postcards -UPDATE NEED VOTES on design

I say you count the votes at 10 pm tonight PST and get this to the printer ASAP.

Re: Molon labe postcards -UPDATE NEED VOTES on design

I wouldn't mind offering more than $20 if that's what it takes to get things rolling. I figured you'd have enough contributors by now. A running dollar count might encourage more contributors to join in.

Re: Molon labe postcards -UPDATE NEED VOTES on design

Could someone come up with the correct pronunciation of this without the little marks etc. like mow lawn labey or moo lan labe with a long a sound? or something along those lines?
I have GuFued it but quite frankly I don't understand all of those little marks.
Make it sound like a common word for each one and I will fill in the blanks.
I am showing my ignorance, but don't know how to say it.
Thanks and regards, FM

Re: Molon labe postcards -UPDATE NEED VOTES on design

Didn't Fineswine want to have her bill submitted by today? Is it possible that we would be sending these out after the bill has been voted on? Or am I just imagining.
Either way I don't care. HB I will send you a PM soon.

As usual, no surprise when it comes to you ole buddy. Stay strong.

Re: Molon labe postcards

four or five.

Needs a line above it saying.

I_______________ support an Uninfringed 2A

Molon Labe

Other wise one guy could send the whole batch, it needs a little individuality to each card. Pre printed address on it would be great.

Re: Molon labe postcards

Thanks armor.
I take it that you two other Fartknockers don't know how to pronounce it either. Regards, FM Staying stronger than most and not afraid to ask.

mo-lawn lah-bay' (like bay but cut it short)

Modern Greek would pronounce the b (beta) as vay, but I prefer historical correctness.

Modern Greek would render it thus: Mo-lone lavey

The Spartans would have not used the modern Greek sound, but the original and more correct Beta as in Boy, Omega as in aw, etc.

1zzqkbn.png
is the Greek rendering with diacritical marks. The omega in the molAwn is pronounced more like the A in Saw, and has a grave diacritical mark, meaning it has a lower pitch. The epsilon in labE has an acute diacritical mark and denotes a short vowel with a higher pitch.

Re: Molon labe postcards -UPDATE NEED VOTES on design

Maybe you should put off a decision for a couple of months.
