Ron,

I recommend using the Picatinny Mount. Your ARC rails should have come with two M1913 picatinny adapters that fit into to center groove of the helmet rails and which each have a flex tab that locks into the horizontal slots [in the center groove].

First, install the picatinny adapter into the helmet rail. They fit tight, so you may need to tap into place with a small gunsmithing mallet and a nylon (non marring) punch. Because of the rail design, I recommend inserting the picatinny adapter in through the front with the locking tab in the back.

Second, slide the picatinny base for the MPLS over the picatinny rail adapter you just installed. Again, inserting from the front is the best. The fit here will be tight as all heck as well -- again, use your gunsmithing mallet and non-marring punch to gently tap the base into place. There's a locking screw that goes all the way through the MPLS base and one of the grooves in the picatinny rail adapter. As you tap the base into place, you need to eyeball from the sides to ensure the holes [on both sides] for the locking screw line up with a groove in the rail adapter ... you should see "daylight" all the way through. Then, you insert the locking screw into the MPLS base and push it all the way through to the other side and tighten (with slot head screwdriver).

If you haven't already installed the MPLS turret onto the base, you can do it now by snapping it over the base and giving a half turn. At this point, you should be complete with the installation.

Hello Ron,

There should be a plastic zip bag with four MPLS base options:

1 -- Picatinny Mount
2 -- ARC Helmet Rail Mount
3 -- MOLLE Clip Mount
4 -- MICH / ACH Helmet "Edge" Mount

The #2 mount (described above) will interface directly onto your ARC Helmet Rail if you prefer not to have the extra relief / height of the Picatinny Mount.

The plastic bag with the MPLS bases / mounts should have come with an instruction sheet folded into a tiny square. It sounds like the entire accessory package may be missing from yours.

I'll try to post some pics this evening.

I ordered my package from Tnvc, there are only 2 bases in the package,1xbase was for helmet mount and the other for molle, there were no picatinny rail bases or reverse bases in the set.I looked on the Internet and found out that here is a Assecsories kit that has the other bases?

Ron,

Here are some pics of the accessory kit that comes standard with the MPLS switches that Princeton Tec ships directly to us. Note: I am not a vendor.

Before buying an accessory kit on line, I recommend contacting Princeton Tec to inquire if they'll send to you (at no extra cost) the mounts that you are missing.

If you have the ARC Helmet Rail Mount, that one should slide right into the center groove of your Ops-Core Helmet Rail.

Hello Ron,

You're welcome -- glad to help! Here are some sequential photos for MPLS installation on helmet rail using the picatinny base ...

Those are great photos of the assembly of the Mpls system, that's why I am on this site to learn from the best in he industry.
Thanks again

Just to add to this excellent record for the next person who finds it, princton tec has redesigned the picatinny rail mount and the ARC mount. These mounts no longer have the ability to rotate the body. The body when mounted is in a fixed position and light direction can only be changed using the light boom.
