Having a tough time on this one folks..need your help. Most websites don't even list magazines for the 809...let alone the 809c (compact). trying to find a couple of these mags. I figured that "the Hide" had more eyes. Anybody know where to get at a Fair price??

That is big problem with taurus. there is no aftermarket for them, and what little there is, is overpriced and understocked

When I needed mags for my PT-638 I had to order them directly from Taurus USA and they cost $45 each when comparable Glock mags cost $20 at CDNN before the Scare. You may also search at taurusarmed.net

Good luck!

I placed an order with Taurus for mag extension sleeves for both the 24/7 G2 compact 9mm. Just got them yesterday. Waiting on mags. Taurus can't seem to even find a part number for the same item for the 809c 9mm! Go figure....confusing!

Re: Looking for Taurus 809c (9mm) 17rd mag

Taurus makes some decent guns, especially revolvers, but the fact they insist on changing their product line every year or two probably keeps a lot of more people from buying their guns.

If they stuck to the same basic design and changed merely grip length, capacity, frame texture, sights, etc., they could probably make fewer manufacturing mistakes and be able to provide better customer service.

As it is now, people buy mostly on price, but no one wants to have a pistol that's going to be discontinued in one year; which is exactly what happens. They'll sell a gun, but what's the chance that customer will return after he's able to afford a S&W, Glock, or SigSauer?

True that...I'm already looking towards the future. S&W, Glock, Sig and Kahr (sp?) look mighty fine!
