Way out West Thank Goodness
I would like to hear from the consuming public what tube specs are most important to you and WHY?

In my quest to buy the very best tubes for my customers I want to hear from you, what you really look at on the data sheet when your considering a purchase and more importantly why?

With the experiences of the past year and the amount I have learned about tube construction, many of the internet "truths" I held to be gospel, really aren't.

Soooo... What say you, tube consuming Hide members?

Re: Tube specifications...

Specs are great to have and and give a buyer an idea of what to expect when buying a tube sight unseen. That all said overall screen quaility is most important to me. Everyone knows the normal/spots/specs but you also get bright spots, shading, dirty Phos(thousands of super tiny specs on the image screen)and many more screen issues. Yes I would like a tube to have around omni VIII min specs hopefully alittle better.

For the sake of the rest of the discussion lets assume that the tube is "Image Clean." I try really hard to buy clean tubes. Think D Flawless in the Diamond world. If the image isn't "Clean" we are discounting.

So given that, what parameters are most important to buyers?

Re: Tube specifications...

the things that are important to me are

Customer service-if I buy something and there is a flaw, I do not expect to be told to go back to the manufacture. I did not buy my GMC straight from the factory so I expect service from whomever I bought my product from.

Price is a factor but not a determining one. I will pay more for customer service and a good attitude and reasonable product.

The end product must be as I expected it to be. I do not want to be told one thing and have it show up differently.

I know you talked tube specs but to be honest I do not have the working knowledge of all those specs. When I buy I call the person I buy from and talk to him and he tells me his opinion-and it has not been wrong yet. He has actually talked me out of buying products that are more than I need. I appreciate that.

He speaks highly of you IPSC GUY.

Re: Tube specifications...

I'm with Hogrider, I dont know enough to make sense of the spec's. I would rather have a knowledgeable, customer service centered outfit that has gained my trust to buy from and if they say its good than its good.
