I know the consensus is to run 123 or 130's in a 6.5x47. Comparing ballistics, if the 140 Hybrids are running 2850, 130 Berger at 2950, at 123 at 3000, the 140 Hybrid is within .3MOA drop at 1000, .7MOA better in the wind at 1000, almost 200 fp energy better at 1000, and stays supersonic around 100 yards longer. Do they feed from a DBM OK, and will OAL be OK for bullet seating depth in relation to the lands? Is 2850 realistic with the 140 Hybrid in a 6.5x47?

Re: 6.5x47 140 Hybrids Questions

Lapua makes a factory load that has the 139gr Scenars. Here's an article by Zak Smith. In it he puts together a 6.5x47 Lapua based on an AI-AW. It has a couple paragraphs that contain his load development. Prob does not totally answer your question but should get you started on the right path. I just put a deposit down on this years Hide rifle and am having it chambered in 6.5x47 Lapua.

Here is another article by Zak Smith where he compares the 260 Rem, 6.5x47 Lapua, and the 6.5 Creedmore.

Re: 6.5x47 140 Hybrids Questions

I have heard of a few people getting those velocities but I can only imagine brass life if terrible. Those are definitely 260 velocities and I am thinking the people who did get those velocities were using long barrels with very long throats. Check out the JLK 130s. They have a great BC, better than the Berger and should get good velocity.

Re: 6.5x47 140 Hybrids Questions

I could push the 140gr Berger LR HPBT at 2825fps from my 26" 6.5x47L. I then moved to the 130gr JLK and basically got the same BC but was able to push it at 2925. Of course, the 140gr Hybrid has a better BC than either of these two and its meplat can be pointed and push it's BC up to 0.64 range. 0.64 + 2825fps is a great combo, probably outperforming the 130gr at 2925. Given the massive price increase at JLK, I'm seriously thinking about trying the 140gr Berger Hybrid.
