wherever I may roam...
So I am out today distributing the MolonLabe postcards to local shops, and these are some of my findings.
I go into one shop, and see an AR an AK and an M1 SOCOM on the wall. I think, ok this guy is staying stocked up. Look on a used rack and see an old Mini14. Then I check the price on the Mini...$1200. I about shit myself, and I own a Mini. Then I ask if they have any FGMM, he points to a stack of about 12 boxes, I think cool. Check the price, $45 a fucking box. OUCH!! But hey, he did let me leave some postcards.lol

Next place I go, the let me leave cards. So I take a look around. They have p mags for $49. Look some more, S&W Sigma mags are $69, OUCH!

A local shootstraight store wont allow the cards, go figure. Same with other chain stores. I go to BassPro and their ammo is picked over, but they have some 223 locked up behind the counter. They want $20/box for Win 55gr softpoints, with a 1 box per customer per day limit. WTF.
This shit has gotten way out of control. Now I expect ripoff prices, being down here in SWFla, but geez. I guess like Cheech and Chong said" things are tough all over"

I went and did the same thing the other day and one shop had a few bare-bones Stag ARs on the shelf for $1800! He also had a stack of Pre-ban Colt ARs but was asking $5000 for each. But he was fully stocked on powders and primers and they were priced at pre-maddness prices which I thought was pretty decent of him.

Re: local ouches!

Certainly hasnt hurt the gun and ammo manufacturers. At least short term it couldnt have gone better for them. About every four years scare the shit outta rverybody and sell everrything at ridiculous prices, then play catch p restocking..
