I thought I'd share a pic after dressing up the old Les Baer TRS. This 1911 would rust if I even looked at it so I gave it a Cerakote finish. While I was at it, I swapped the sights for a 10-8 rear and a Novak gold bead front sight. (Keeping it old school)
Since the Les Baer slide fit is so tight the parts had to be refitted after getting the Cerakote. Well worth it in the end.

The Burnt Bronze and Patriot Brown Cerakote combo turned out way better than expected.

Unless I find myself in dire financial straits, this set isn’t leaving the family. I plan to pass them on to my boy.
The Strider MT-10 is “8541” stamped and custom engraved on the opposite side.

Is there any history behind the Strider? Is that one of the West Coast SS schoolhouse honor grad blades?

It's the same knife that is awarded to the SS schoolhouse honor grad but I wasn't the honor grad when I went through SS school.
Long story short, dropped by Strider to have a knife resharpened and wound up walking away with this 8541 marked MT-10.

It's a tack driver, and super reliable. The gold bead front site is sick.
