Dear Kirk -

Yesterday was difficult for both of us, but testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee about responsible solutions to limit gun violence was an important step in this debate.

As you could tell from some of the questions and answers coming from both sides of the table, the fight ahead will be hard, but the time to act is now.

That's why your support is so important. Without you, <span style="font-weight: bold">an ideological fringe that has repeatedly obstructed progress will continue to succeed</span>. Because of you, lives will be saved.

We recorded a behind-the-scenes video of our day yesterday and wanted you to be one of the first to see it.

We hope you'll watch the footage and sign our petition calling on Congress to enact universal background checks and limit the availability of high capacity magazines.


Now that this hearing is over, we can begin to focus on passing comprehensive legislation to limit gun violence in the United States.

So their rationale to stopping people who had total disregard for multiple laws is to enact more laws to make law abiding gun owners less safe and the criminals just have to simply disregard another law?

No.

Noone is safer, and everyone is just a little dumber having to wrap their minds around this philosophy. You were shot, I feel bad for you, I really did. Things like this can be avoided and we will all be safer when we are responsible and armed.

But instead of facilitating the changes to help avoid what happened to you from happening to someone else, you are now just a left wing opportunist whore that is taking the chance to trade in whatever brain matter was shot out of your head for cash contributions.

I would be the first to support the removal of all firearms from her house as she is clearly (medically) failing to function at the highest levels of cognitive function. It would not be a far cry to asses that she, in fact, may be mentally incapable of gun ownership. If she was a soldier that passed through a VA center, there would be a good chance that she would be deemed incompetent to own/buy a firearm.

I’ll go ahead and say it…. so it sucks she caught a bullet (for PC’s sake), but for fuck’s sake, give it a rest.

While I sure as hell wouldn't want to go through what she has and have no doubt with her current disabilities I found her 'emphasis' on certain 'key' words and the related facial expressions and hand gestures to be pure horseshit, dramatic and used ONLY to sway onlookers and viewers. If one of her staff or someone in the crowd would have had a 'Glock' there wouldn't have been as many deaths and injuries.

Funny how she was supposedly in the other party but switched to run for the left?? If she was a serious gunowner and sincerely appreciated the 2nd Amendment as she claims she wouldn't be using her position, notoriety, disability and drama to sway public opinion and Congress!!! I have a name for her but would have to pick the 3rd letter of the alphabet to start it! Her words and public appearance have the same meaning to me as the Hollyweird shitbirds, means nothing other than they are attention whores who think they are a few steps above the rest of us!!

I remember seeing it too and it was something alone the lines of $40,000 which is nothing. The only reason the Brady groups gets any press is because the press is on their side.

We donate to the NRA because we believe in saving our rights not taking away someone elses. . If we went after everyone who drank or purchased or owned a bottle of jack daniels we would be in prison. But they can rattle us up all they want. Ask me the NRA is too easy on em. I say we march on sandyhook and demand armed guards in our school. Then we march outside a courthouse and demand justice against anyone involved in ilegal sales.

They never want to address the problem. Just a divert blame. If I lost a family member to drinking and driving I would never blame the car or truck that was involved. It is a personal responsibility issue plain and simple but the gun control side is always about blame shifting.

Are you sure about this? I am not trying to be an ass, but like the facts to be straight. Do you have a citation for this. She was shot in a Safeway parking lot. I carry into Safeway all the time. Unless it was a gun free zone just for her event.
