Through your stay here I can't recall once, you ever showing up with a useful post in any thread concerning the base subject of this Forum,Shooting, not one. I ran your history just to make sure I am not making a false statement, and 4 pages deep in your history and you had not made a single shooting related post.
Seems the bulk of your contributions are to Belittle people making useful posts, or LEOs for any reason available. Often I try to see where you come from on topics, but mostly, my simple raising will not allow me to follow your point, so true to Momma's advice, if I have nothing useful or nice to interject, I remain silent. Out of shear respect I request that you return the same in my small section of Snipers Hide.

As for the shooting, all three of mine have shot since they could pull a Trigger. The older 2 (21&18 now) started competitive 3d archery in the 8& under bracket so transitioning them to this was more holding them back than getting them going. My son, now 18, Shot the Allegheny Snipers Challenge his first time when he was 12 and finished 22 out of a 40 shooter field.
The 7 year old has stepped right in line with the other 2 So my take on it is God has surely blessed me with good kids, wish Momma had been so lucky.
Daughter has been an Athlete her entire life in every sport offered. Until she started JV in the 8th grade, the only Softball Coach she ever had including Travel Ball, was her Dad so that helped...Maybe. This weekend her Momma will be rolling through your town on the way to Woodstock Ga. to watch as she opens her Junior season with Liberty University. Yeah I am a little proud.
Guess the real Key is same as everything TIME

Let me start by saying that I am 28 years old. I agree with everything Jon posted. It amazes me every time I meet someone new that is around my same age just how different we are. There is no doubt that outside of my group of friends I am part of a minority that is getting smaller with each generation. I don't understand where my generation is coming from or where it's headed. I can only hope and pray that the old saying that " history repeats itself " is true. I know we will never see another generation with these same core values and beliefs but maybe one that somewhat resembles it. Jon, I want to say thanks for your post and that you are a true American and we could only hope for more like you. I would also like to thank those that have fought for these beliefs on behalf of this country. Without these heros we would not have the liberties to express our beliefs.

I have read your posts for all 5 years I have been here and never found one to suggest you aren't an outstanding Dad, Husband and representative of our sport.

I'm 29 and if you think our class is bad, try talking to the 16-20 year olds. Not even the next generation and we have kids who don't even know how car wax works. True story. I'm a mechanic at a motorcycle shop and the kids we hire to run errands and clean up are absolutely worthless. They sure know about the new iPhone coming out and what happened on American Idol though. Very useful life skills.

Remember, We are responsible for the next Generation. While MOMX3 and I are only 2, we have multiplied our beliefs through our older children to 4 and when our 7 year old makes 18, I am certain she will at least know right from wrong and where her value system will be based.

If Obama died an I were elected King the agenda would Be:
1. Absolute accountability for Parents, Judges and Teachers. These jobs are too important to screw up!
2. Government regulation on industry would be drastically reduced; America must become a producer again. Jobs make the nation strong, not the size of government.
3. Anthem and Pledge will be at the start of every school Day
4. American exceptionalism will be mandated
5. The constitution will be taught to children and followed by adults
6. The “don’t work-don’t eat rule will be applied, John Smith made it happen.
7. Social Programs will be nonexistent for working age Males
8. The Guard will be in charge of all American borders
9. If working age males cannot find a job, see #7, we will need bodies
10. Your child = your responsibilities Not societies. Married or not.. That’s you baby daddy!
11. Military personnel will make military decisions, not panty waisted Congress critters who have no idea what the consequences to missions are and only are concerned about reelection.
12. Military pay will be balanced to industry,
13. Military commanders determine military budgets
14. Term Limits for elected officials: the garden needs plowed and crops rotated for premium yields
15. A Supreme Court Judge is not a life time job.
16. Capitalism is the way of the land and will be supported. History shows the more free it is, the more successful our nation is
17. Every household must have at least 1 firearm
18. If you are a screaming liberal socialist, the U.S govt will be required to offer you a one way ticket to any nation of your choice for the simple price of denouncing your citizenship
19. Aid to any non allied nations is completely stopped and allied aid will be on a case by case issue until the debt is paid off. The U.S will quit paying people to hate us. We can get it at a much cheaper rate than we are currently getting it for.
20. Treason charges will be strictly enforced.
21. Both Foreign AND Domestic will be reviewed with those who take a Oath
22. The entire Obama Machine will fall under #20
23. A strong explanation of “Shall Not Be Infringed Upon” will be given to all public officials
24. Military Promotions will be based solely on the ability to operate at the next level: points are for games, War is for real.
25. Women will NOT be in combat! We are better than that!
26. Fair share=Flat Tax you make it you keep it. All those extra IRS agents can see #8 they will be hiring
27. Healthcare is not a right it is a business, no one owes you shit! Get a job and insurance.
28. States rights are the rule of the land: see #5
29. Good fed govt. is small fed govt.
30. Death penalty is mandated for violent crimes and crimes against children and elderly
31. Trade agreements will be made in OUR favor for a while.
32. Short time limits’ are mandated for #30. Tax payers should keep them alive for a very limited amount of time
33. Public Hangings will be default for #30, No more repeat offenders. The criminals family will be responsible for paying for rope and removal of bodies.
34. Life in prison will no longer be a sentence. Death penalty will take its place, same for sentencing that goes beyond national average life expectancy. We will not pay to keep this type of scab on society alive.

Mr. Lester -

I frequently visit "the hide" to gain knowledge. Mostly shooting knowledge. Personal accounts of both successes and failures by many well more versed than I on the subject matter. Load recipes. Rifles and calibers of choice. Reloading processes. Additional gear that may make my day at the range more productive and enjoyable. Even actual shooting instruction.

I also show up for the "other" stuff. Movie reviews. Best bourbons and beers. The Bear Pit. Maggies. etc, etc.

Through it all, I routinely say to myself, "I don't know that guy, but I know I like him."

This is one of those times.

I cannot agree more with everything on your list. Well done.
 
I bet a lot of your local liberal school teachers would refuse to pass that message on to their students. God please save us.
